True Crime: Holy cats this youtuber is LDS related

Just saw this. It's about a youtuber mommy vlogger whose channel is called 8 Passengers. I don't recall actually watching the channel but I feel like I've seen the channel pass by my youtube notifications. LDS parents apparently doing videos about family life and parenting. Now the Mom is arrested for child abuse.

Here's my opinion. There are tons of Mommy Vloggers on youtube. They need to be moved off the platform. There's in fact, a guy youtuber called Dad Challenge Podcast that exposes them. I haven't watched him in probably a year but what he was doing was objecting to Mommy Vloggers due to exploitation of minors and the very fact that minor children cannot legally give consent. There was even a youtube family he covered who were exploiting their child with autism for bucks. Another couple who had bio children, who adopted a child with special needs who ended up essentially getting rid of the child who is now doing well in life with new parents. It's crazy how much money they make off these types of channel. DCP is one who demonstrates that or who did when I watched him now and then.

In contrast, the non-true crime related youtubers I watch (home, garden, DIY, fashion) regularly hardly ever show their children on camera. You know they have children but the children aren't at all central to their channels. I think that type of balance is okay to strike however there are obviously Mommy Vloggers who exploit their children and make them play to the camera. It disgusts me beyond belief.

I think there's some type of legislation being forwarded based on the Coogan Law that Mommy Vloggers have to "pay" their children by putting aside separate money earned from the channels. But in my view, that's not enough to relieve children of the affects of having their personal family life plastered all over the internet.

I say they need to be eliminated entirely.

Oh see...DCP is already on this. I bet he's done critical videos and streams about 8 Passengers in the past, too. DCP was a music pastor and left his church in Canada. I think he's non-affiliated with any church now. If I recall correctly his leaving was on account of church political or philosophical disagreements. He is employed in real life but I forget what he does. If he mentions LDS in this video, it's because he knows what he's talking about. He's got some LDS youtubers he's had guest on his channel before.

Going to watch this myself.

This woman was making bank. Considering she was monetized so she had adsense and she probably had sponsorships and that's where youtubers make their real income, plus some from affiliate links. She may have had memberships as well...more income. Don't know.

Watching the beginning of this helped me remember the one clip I ever saw of Ruby Franke. It was that either her kindergarten age daughter forgot to bring her lunch or forgot to MAKE her own lunch, and Ruby wouldn't let the school feed her child.

This relative is scared crapless to comment but she does with safeguards in place...on generational abuse.

Would you guys say this is linked to family culture, LDS culture, or both? I can't help but think of the sexual abuse allegations and cover ups linked to the LDS church, that's why I'm asking. I'm not blaming, I'm asking.
