Re: A Darkness Settles Over "6 Days in August"
No, Daniel has money to make and can’t just let anyone watch it for free. It’s not like this is a movie about Jesus . Conversely, he has also said it’s NOT about the money, the intention was always for as many people to see it as possible. Which is odd, as making it freely available via You Tube wo...

Re: Open Message to the Open Stories Foundation Board of Directors
...This is the first time I am seeing this. I'm not sure that there is anything that can be done to help and I wonder if people telling her to stop is actually fuelling this spiral further. No, that's not what is fueling her spiral. It is something far more internal. The saddest part is that therap...

Re: Latter-day Saints have the highest rate of weekly church attendance
It’s almost true by definition, because Mormonism is a high demand religion.
You can’t easily identify as LDS and not attend. You can’t really be a member in good standing without attending.

I’ve been reading DP’s replies to Gemli. There’s no substance. Zero. It’s entirely ad-hom attacks and lazy arrogant dismissals.
Again, just sad to see a PhD and former BYU professor act so childishly.

Re: A Darkness Settles Over "6 Days in August"
STW: "Daniel do you have any updates on Six Days? Are you still hopeful for a theatrical release this summer?" We've done roughly 90% of the filming. Maybe more. But a big and complicated scene -- the opening scene, in fact -- remains to be done. We have it set up for late April. That will happen, ...

Re: Why DCP’s Proposed Beatitudes Book is Problematic
STW: "Daniel when do you think some of these works in progress will be published?" Oh, alas, that's a painful topic with me: I've set some goals for this year and, so far, am exceeding my targets. On some of the biggest projects, they keep growing -- and, thus, their completion keeps receding. I'm ...

Re: Mormon divorce rates
https://www.reddit.com/r/Mormon/comments/klgqr4/mormon_divorce_rates That's bad enough, but what's worse is to my knowledge, for these "sealed" marriages, even when they're divorced, the wives are still "attached" to their husbands--they CANNOT be sealed to any other men. If this is not sexism I do...

Re: I Can't Eye-Roll Hard Enough Over DCP's Latest
Add on this. This week is “Holy Week,” about which I wrote this column a while back. (I have fairly strong feelings about Holy Week.) except... it's not. Holy Week is the sixth and last week of Lent, beginning with Palm Sunday [which falls on March 24th this year] and concluding on Holy Saturday. h...

Re: Lds church is wrongly attacked for giving too little to charity....
They would rather critics keep their attention on charitable giving and not look at the rampant nepotism. Being a family member or friend of Mormon royalty is incredibly lucrative. Those widows in Parowan keep them very comfortable.
