Re: bcspace?
I also miss Rollo Tomasi posting around here. Hell yes. Rollo Tomasi is one of the board greats. His takedown of the Dehlin hit pieces was epic. Aww, you guys are making me misty. Sorry I haven't been around here in quite a while. I guess I got a bit burned out on Mormon-related boards; plus, my jo...

Re: Daniel C. Peterson's Struggle With Honesty and Integrity
DCP clearly is very intelligent, so he must, by now, realize that he has wasted his life in Mopologetics. Sure, it was likely a 'heady' experience for him in the beginning, but over the past few years he has suffered embarrassment after embarrassment. The Internet is not only destroying the LDS Chur...

Re: Pahoran Slips Up
Rusty is a lying pile of poop; he always has been and he always will be. I've read the book and loved it.

Re: Sweet Cakes by Melissa fined $135,000
I thought America was supposed to be about the individual's right to be an asshole. That right is alive and well in general, but haven't the federal courts carved out an exception for businesses (under the commerce clause or something similar) since the days (50's or 60's) when restaurants/hotels r...

Re: for what it's worth, my review of Greg Smith's "review" of Mormon Stori
I can't believe it has now been close to two years since I wrote that far too long post. I put in a lot of time because I was angry after reading Greg Smith's two papers published by Interpreter, which I found to be unworthy of ANY scholarly consideration. And I feel the same way today.

Re: for what it's worth, my review of Greg Smith's "review" of Mormon Stori
I'm new to this whole controversy. This is all very much in the TLDR category for me, starting with Smith's verbosity and continuing even today it seems with all the back-forth rebuttals, FARMS vs MI, etc. But, from my glanced read of the review and "review review," and then "review ...

Re: Peterson takes another bitter swipe at the Maxwell Insti
The comments at the end of DCP's essay are approaching 200 and are quite entertaining. Even the of-late-elusive Will Schryver has been posting (he's as nutty as ever). Great stuff.

Re: Peterson takes another bitter swipe at the Maxwell Insti
There seem to be two key take-aways in all of this. The first is that we can probably ignore a lot of the "noise" that the Mopologists are kicking up. Their behavior relates to the "letter-writing campaign" that they staged shortly after "classic-FARMS" was given the h...

Re: Peterson takes another bitter swipe at the Maxwell Insti
I think it's cute that DCP posted a picture of the RLDS temple to prove his point that the MI is becoming watered down doctrinally when it comes to the Book of Mormon. I've said it before, I wouldn't hire DCP to mow my lawn. I've never seen such pathetic behavior shown to one's former employer. He'...

"[O]wing to unwelcome external circumstances"? Now that sounds interesting (and possibly even scandalous).
