Re: Questions for former and inactive church members(LDS).

Re: NYT Op Ed on New Challenge to Prop 8

The problem of course is that same gender attraction hasn't been defined as a suspect class - largely on the basis that it it doesn't seem to be defined as an immutable trait - ... Can you substantiate that? I mean, the "immutable trait" test doesn't appear to be the major factor in deter...

Heh - yeah, that's pretty funny. Though I do feel a bit bad laughing at your personal anthem. At least you're not ashamed - you go girl!

Re: Why Does Bill Hamblin Hate Sunstone?

you'll even lose your lingering affinity for BYU football Heh - you sort of nailed it for me (although it's not that hard to figure out why). This is the first time in 6 years that I won't be getting BYU season tickets. Yeah, i'll still watch them on TV and root for them, but the lds church will ne...

Re: Book of Abraham question

Someone told me yesterday that the church is no longer going to publish facsimiles 1 and 2 in new printed versions of the Pearl of Great Price. Is this true? If so, does this constitute an admission on the part of the church that the facsimiles are not what Joseph claimed they are? What about fac. ...

Re: Missing Papyrus

There could theoretically have been a core of some kind, but there is no evidence that there was, and quite often papyrus rolls were just rolled up like a towel with no core at all. Hoffmann states that wrappings cannot be actualized below a length of ~ 2.5-3 cm, so the very innermost wrappings hav...
