Re: A Lost Journal of Joseph Smith Jr.
Have a hunch... maybe it is revelation telling me so, I don't know... but the said "lost journal" smacks of Darrick T. Evanson. He posts here occasionally... usually under a different avatar... just as he has changed his name numerous times in real life.

Then I developed it after I stopped being an apologist and active in the LDS Church. So I guess my intention...

Re: The virgin birth of Christ.
Of course one can wonder if Jesus was conceived by another man. That is an obvious possibility. I find it bizarre to try to establish that possibility by ambiguity in the text. The text does not determine the event. Indeed. The text does not settle the matter. The matter was only "settled"...

Re: The virgin birth of Christ.
Christianity unique and distinguished from pagan. I am unsure if that project makes sense. Both Christian and Roman religion are human belief systems which relate to similar sets of human concerns. There are a variety of ways to deal with some concerns . Christianity has some distinguishing ideas b...

Hieros Gamos: The Problem of Virginal Conception [1] [S]ince Celsus has introduced the Jew disputing with Jesus, and tearing in pieces, as he imagines, the fiction of His birth from a virgin, comparing the Greek fables about Danae, and Melanippe, and Auge, and Antiope, our answer is, that such lang...

They won't give it, but you are doing the right thing. Yeah... I doubt they would give me permission too. And I wouldn't blame them. I know that I said some things on that list that I regret. Anyway... just throwing out the reminder (to whom it may concern) that we don't always have the stacked-dec...
