Re: Does Thomas S Monson tell lies...?

If we ever needed a good reason to join DCP and Will in leaving this board forever, I think this thread qualifies. Isn't it perfectly obvious to you that it is impossible to have a rational discussion with these people anymore? This thread has left me shaking my head like few others I have ever see...

Re: Boyd K. Packer says the end is NOT NEAR

I often email peggy when she has taken on a contoversial issue that surely draws criticisms from TBM's and compliment her writing and reporting ... i applaud peggy for doing what has got to be a tough job in Mormon country ... I'm sure you do. All exmormons and disaffected Mormons applaud what Pegg...

Re: Does Thomas S Monson tell lies...?

In that vacuum and given his ego-saturated tendency to exaggerate in ways that are now coming back to bite him, Monson embellished, ignored and manufactured key elements of the Patton story, deliberately giving the "pattonly" false impression that he was speaking the factualized truth in ...

Re: Does Thomas S Monson tell lies...?

Nevo, a reasonable inference would be something like this... "Arthur probably died quickly" Whereas "Arthur died quickly" is a statement of certainty. The man's a prophet. People expect him to know - once he lets his guard down with 'might have' or 'probably' all the other Apost...

Re: I've switched sides...again

... people of every faith claim to have these spiritual experiences. I don't believe this is true. At least not in the sense of "personal revelation" as it is understood and experienced within Mormonism. Most religions explicitly deny that Mormon-style personal revelation is possible. The...

Re: Does Thomas S Monson tell lies...?

Monson told a complete fabrication of a tale he only knew scant details about, but in which he comes off as being Gods instrument in 'rescuing' a widow Good grief. After all of the information that has been brought forward in this thread, you're still claiming the story is a fabrication? The story ...

Re: Ideas to Make General Conference Better

No he doesn't. DCP knows who I am. I've sent him emails from my in real life account. But don't let facts get in the way of your delusions. You wouldn't entertain me near as much if you started being a reasonable person. That's funny. Because he said you were Will. He did? I must have missed that. ...

Re: Ideas to Make General Conference Better

And no offense intended against Will, but his writing style is a whole lot more wordy and (what's the word ... oh yeah) florid than mine. How would we know...his articles keep getting binned... What does this mean? Next time he gets published we'll have to check his writing style with yours for com...

Re: I've switched sides...again

It all goes back to a faithful experience that no scientific answer I've searched for adequately explains (to me; I've no doubt it may for others). It is that spiritual experience that keeps resurfacing in my mind and almost compels me to seek out the LDS church again. I know how you feel, Abaddon....

I think it is pathetic that you people are trying to smear President Monson in this way.

I'll ask the same of you. Would you rather that Elder Dunn had not been exposed?

The two situations are not even remotely similar.
