Re: Well has the election blown you away yet?!

What's odd is that the voting trends by state over three hours ago seemed to lock Hillary Clinton out of a possible victory. And now, even further along, no major network will yet call it for Trump. It's as if they're all too afraid to take that leap. No not odd, they've called it before based on p...

McMullin barely made a dent.

I could die from that surprise.

I don't know that I'll ever vote again. Not that it matters, because it doesn't. This state, I have always known is...

Re: I Am Not a Misanthrope

I am not a misanthrope. I very much enjoy a life with my family. I would very much enjoy a life with an abundance of friends if that were possible. So far it has not been possible. I harangue faithlessness to no end for purposes of conquest only. Humanity has abundant graces that bejewel all our li...

Re: Suicide Rates (fairmormon map)

Just using Utah as an example (the other intermountain states with smaller percentages, "market share," and raw numbers of Mormons would be more complicated, obviously), there are a number of factors that would need to be determined before the presence and incidence of suicide can be used...

Re: Things Go Wrong When Started Wrong

You cannot build a fit house on a corrupt foundation. All this aching and moaning about Mormon Culture withdrawals are just as stupid. I call it navelgazing. Mostly that is what goes on in personal blogs as well, and the Facebook posts my cousin makes. I was off the navelgazing for a while but here...

Re: No way out

A psychologist guy once told me that depression is the plague of our time. In 1985 my BIL, returned missionary of just a few months, hung himself. I was sooooo angry at "the church". Since then my life has had pockets with suicides. Coworker's son, a friend's brother, another coworker's hu...
