Re: G.Palmer Mormon Discussions Podcast on Joseph Smith Sexu
I'm very interested in hearing about his decision to resign. I wonder if it was prompted by additional church discipline coming down the pike or recommendation to do so by a PH leader, or if he finally just had enough?

Re: Apostate Missionary Discussions
Simply asking a person of faith to square the God of the First Vision with the God of the Last Vision. The God of the First Vision is a loving Heavenly Father who condescended to stoop near to earth to answer the sincere prayer of a 14 year old farm boy regarding how he should worship. The God of th...

Re: Laban's Sword and Robin Hood's Arrows
I learned that the Holy Ghost can contradict the Spirit of Christ from the Nephi kills Laban story.

Re: A Daheshist View of Mormonism...
The point I was trying to make is that we are all running the "program" installed on our hard drives, just like the baby or the child soldier. There is very little that any of us do that can be attributed to any type of "free agency" or "free will" and most "choice...

Re: A Daheshist View of Mormonism...
Is this judgement applied equally across the board? How will the 8 year old child soldier in Africa be judged? How about the child who dies 2 weeks into life? Talk about a selfish critter. Demands to be fed by screaming at his mother, insists on having someone else clean up their diaper for them. Wh...

Re: Current LDS Apologetic position on Native Americans pre-
Wait a minute LDSFAQs, when did lamanite equal gentile, or not descended from Lehi? I remember being taught my whole life that native americans, pacific islanders, etc, were Lehi's descendents? When did a prophet change that teaching?

Re: Current LDS Apologetic position on Native Americans pre-
Has anyone seen any move away from apologetic venues by their church leaders/teachers? I can only find articles at Maxwell that are vague and speak to general topics. I think the church is finally wising up to the damage that has been done in the past.

Re: Current LDS Apologetic position on Native Americans pre-
LDSFAQs, thank you for your reply, and the others as well. I am still unclear regarding the apologetic consensus out of BYU regarding pre-lehite residents in the americas. I have searched the Maxwell Institute site, but I am not good at finding the information there. I have seen the FAIR pages on wi...

Current LDS Apologetic position on Native Americans pre-Lehi
I know this is pretty basic stuff, but am I correct in assuming that the consensus amongst LDS apologists at Maxwell house and FAIR is that Lehi's band intermarried and effected a political takeover of sorts amongst pre-existant Native peoples in mesoamerica? In a conversation on another interweb fo...
