Re: M. Russell Ballard Dies
He was obviously removed because he was leading the church astray. God had to do something.

Re: How Many More Wives? Treat Me the Way you Wanna Do
Not sure of the doctrine but if a woman divorces and remarries, can she marry in the temple? And if so is she no longer sealed to the previous? And if she has to unseal to have a new sealed partner then does that mea the man isn't going to have her as one of his possible poly wives? It is really ha...

They are all white because they are all related. There are a few outliers, but as we all know, all of the Select Spirits seem to come from the same three families.

The real reason the church resists change (with deference to J. Larsen):
The most baffling aspect of Mormonism, especially to outsiders, is the central place of "testimony" in the theology. Re: "Not translations in the usual sense" Book of Abraham Defence.
Here's my main issue: no matter how the book was produced, its cosmology is complete nonsense. So either (1) Abraham misheard Elohim, or (2) Elohim must have been on mushrooms when he talked to Abraham. That's assuming the book is an accurate record of what Abraham thought God said. The third option...

Re: Truman Madsen at BYU
Many years ago my father gave me a copy of Madsen's book about B. H. Roberts entitled "Defender of the Faith". It totally omitted all that stuff about Roberts losing all "faith" in the Book of Mormon. I tossed the book in the trash.

Come on- "societal ideals of beauty" are what enriches 95% of mission presidents and above via MLMs. But they just can't help themselves.
Thank you.

Re: Hard Evidence of Ancient American Horses
But the Nephites didn't just have horses. They also had chariots. And chariots require iron works. And iron works require some sort of transport of ore and coal. And ore and coal require lots and lots of picks and shovels. And so it goes.
