Re: Conference: The Church Remains Firmly Against Gay Marri

Ah yes, and critics can be as cynical and smug as they want to be for morals don't apply to them. Plus they can't take any of their own medicine. You've already stumbled over the block of your own making. Nelson dinged you again in the second session by the way. There is NO way that you are for rea...

Re: Elaine S. Dalton - Women - No need to lobby for rights

Ugh! "understand your roles and responsibilities"??? Oh, I know these are fully drilled into the young women right now too. My daughter-in-law is a young women's president and I hear her talking about the "wonderful, new lessons" and explaining what they are....it makes me ill! ...

Re: Bishop Puts Locks On 18 Year Old's Cell Phone

That is horrible. My heart is SICK for this young man! I've not heard a story like this that is from a one-on-one experience, just group talks about making sure there are locks and passwords on phones. That poor kid has to be so guilt ridden 24/7 when he should be enjoying this time of his life.

Re: Sunday play

It was a long time ago when professional sports were not nearly as lucrative and popular as they are now so his decision then was not nearly as unusual as it would be today. He was not the only player in his draft that elected not to play, there were several others. I have never heard him express a...

Re: Sunday play

Did the Osmonds perform on Sundays? I don't know but if they did they would have had a free pass--all of the Mormon poster children seem to get those. My father decided against a career in professional sports (he was a first round draft pick) partly because of the required Sunday play. While I resp...

Sunday play

I watched or listened to most of General Conference a few weeks ago. I was kind of surprised to hear at least two instances where no sports on Sunday was mentioned. With all that young people are facing these days, they are still focusing on this? A historic example of commitment to be strong and im...

Good to see ya, luc. Hope all is well with you and yours.
