Re: Not All Apostates Get Shunned
Ken has never been LDS. Don't know if it's this or not, but in my experience, Mormons tend to fall all over themselves being nice to, and putting on a good face for, nevermos in their midst. Mormons are almost pathologically self conscious about how they are perceived by uninitiated outsiders and w...

Re: Good news about arguments against the Church!
PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE -------------------------------- I am an active believing Latter-day Saint. I love the Church and I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ. But, if I were being completely honest, there are times when I wish I wasn't LDS. Those times include when I am tired and sitting on my couch and ...

Let's take a moment, though, to appreciate this choice lyric:
"My feet He plants on gospel sod."
Smooooooooooooth. And it rhymes so well with "God".

Re: 'Mormon Doctrine' today?
So, I am wondering if as Saw Skooh implies that these copies yet litter TBMs' shelves. Sure, I get that among the FAIR-FARMS crowd, and Cafeteria Mo's, Mormon Doctrine and BRM have been roundly rejected, and I have sensed that there has not been much mention of BRM at GC or quotings from him or Mor...

bcspace
So I've been away for a while. This evening I logged on and looked around and it occurred to me how odd it seemed that I didn't see any sign of bcspace, who I was accustomed to seeing everywhere, spreading his prolific, stoic, trolly nonsense over nearly every post. What gives?

Minus the monolithic, encyclopedic tomes littering shelves throughout Mormondom, of course.

Re: Packer's funeral and the unwritten order of things
Maybe one of the unwritten order of things is that Mormon leadership plays by a different set of rules. It's looking more and more like "The Unwritten Order of Things" was just a fancy way of saying "Boyd Packer's curmudgeonly opinion of how things ought to be" and is--dare one ...
