Re: The MAD Board Has Clearly Jumped The Shark
You're Johnnie Cake?!! I had no idea we had such distinguished guests over on MDDB. I thought jkw and consig were the only posters who regularly "swing both ways" (IYKWIM). Restricted eh? That's a bummer. I can understand getting irate sometimes. That's mainly why I've given it a rest, it...

Hi cwald. Hey... I discovered that your signature quote is so, so true. (The red one) Hi Mackay11, The is Craig Paxton a.k.a. Johnnie Cake. I should have taken your advice...although I thought I was. I've been place on a restricted account on MD&D <---see still trying to be respectful, due to o...

Re: The MAD Board Has Clearly Jumped The Shark
The moderates like ALarson, Rockpond, Canard, Stemelbow (yes our Stemelbow-he has really gone from a wishy washy defender to a wishy washy critic), HappyJackWagon, DBMormon, BlueDreams, Nevo and a few more have really taken control. Throw in a few who have their foot out the door Tacenda, , Jeanne,...

I'm not a big name in the community, but I would be interested in contributing to this project. I'll sign up.

Potentially Lemmie, yes. It's a trademark and, as such, represents brand value. If you deface or devalue the intellectual property then they can potentially and legitimately take legal action.
It's probably nothing at all and not an issue. I'm probably worrying about nothing.

Re: Inverted Y
Kind of hoping this catches on. m Careful mate, brands get funny about anyone messing around with their logos. I work in the industry and have heard some impressive stories about how defensive they can get. Bear in mind that: "Any distortion to the logos is considered an infringement on the un...

Re: The Ghost Translator
Recognizing their difficulty, some critics have tried to assign the credit for writing the Book of Mormon to somebody else — typically Solomon Spalding or Sidney Rigdon. My favorite such proposal came from an Internet critic several years ago. In repeated emails, he insisted that the Book of Mormon...

Re: David Bokovoy Proves Again He Is The Premiere LDS Schola
Funny how we LDS have switched roles with some of the bible-inerrantists. Traditionally, we had a great deal of flexibility in our approach to the Bible's contents. And we even institutionally acknowledged under Joseph Smith that there are errors in its translations that may, at times, disqualify t...

Re: Uchtdorf known as the "Mormon Pope Francis"?
I agree with Philo. Francis has been a breath of fresh air in modelling a new approach to people who have traditionally been excluded by the church. I don't know much about Elder Uchtdorf, but I'm not aware that he has, for example, given his blessing to a transsexual couple or symbolically washed ...
