Re: Russell McGregor: Online Mopologist Extraordinaire
"epeen." Oy vey! So descriptive. I seem to recall kiwi being included in this admonition from his church, quoted in a thread titled "The Church Tells DCP, Midgley, Ostler, McGregor, Scott Lloyd and The Mopologists To Quit Posting Online": “Social media commenters: Your church has added strong ...

Re: What is Gravity?
Imagine a balloon that requires pressure to be inflated but any time you force "air" in to the balloon that air gets annihilated because inside the balloon is "antiair" and so you have to continuously pump air in to the balloon to keep it inflated. As the air collides with anti-air, it creates a re...

Re: Numbers...
...I think the point that Marcus and I are pushing back on is some idea that these experiences are created by the numbers themselves. Our brains are creating the feelings and patterns, the numbers don't have any of these inherent properties in themselves... Exactly. No 'magic.' If I recall correctl...

Re: Libertarian-ish and Loving It
-Ism's in my opinion are not good. A person should not believe in an -ism, he should believe in himself. -Ishes are okay, though. (And on a somewhat related note, I don't have to bum rides off people anymore, unlike Ferris Bueller, to whom I give credit for at least one of the sentences above. My so...

Re: Numbers...
So, you see the pattern then. No magic. Sigh. Marcus is about as clever as a toilet lever. Whose to say a toilet lever ain’t clever. :P Bears repeating, as does the fact that the magnitude of the earthquake that landed Moroni’s instrument was a 5.7. Thank you for supplying yet another datapoi...

Re: Numbers...
Not weird, not magical. You just need to understand the properties of numbers. Do you need help with this set also? I'll give you a hint: 7×3 = 21, 4x3 = 12. 7x6 = 42, 4x6 = 24. 7x9 = 63, 4x9 = 36. 7×12 = 84, 4×7 = 48. Correction: replace 7 with 12 in the last line. So, you see the pattern then. No...

Re: Numbers...
Numeral Number Nine is indeed weird. (42/7) x 4 = 24 (No wonder 24 is a magic number, said the magical man.) ⚔️ Not weird, not magical. You just need to understand the properties of numbers. Do you need help with this set also? I'll give you a hint: 7×3 = 21, 4x3 = 12. 7x6 = 42, 4x6 = 24. 7x9 = 63,...

Re: Numbers...
Digit reversal from 72 into 27 is a new thing for me. Divide by 8 and multiply by 3 in the one case discovered so far. Can you find another member of this set. :?: 09 to 90. Divide by 1, multiply by 10. 18 to 81. Divide by 2, multiply by 9. 27 to 72. Divide by 3, multiply by 8. 36 to 63. Divide by ...
