Responses to the LDS Instagram post on Women
You may have heard about the LDS Instagram post claiming the church gives women more power than any other religion. Then the thousands of comments. Here is one blogger responding to a post by an LDS chaplain, therapist, and relief society president who wrote shaming LDS feminists. Please check it ou...

Re: The Grace in My Mother's Love
I absolutely agree with you. How are you doing? Do you have anyone to talk to? You don't need to think about sexism right now. It's not a big deal. What helps you through this transition period is what matters. Sending love x I am doing pretty good. Had a pretty big important week and a new chapter...

Re: The Grace in My Mother's Love
One thing about losing my mom is that she was like air and water to me. She had always been there in my life and, despite being a mother of many children, she never let me down when I needed her. There’s another layer to it, though. She did so much invisibly that her absence now has been that much ...

Re: The Grace in My Mother's Love
...one foundational principle: I am of worth. The Young Women’s motto I repeated every Sunday offered this to me in theory... But not in reality. The LDS church does NOT teach that women, in and of themselves, are of worth. As harsh as this may seem, it is only when mothers LEAVE the LDS church, an...

Re: Everyone Has Faith; That is the Only Option
I still like the definition of faith as belief in things unseen which are true. In an atheistic sense it can still work of course. And like the Book of Mormon faith we often don't find out until after the fact if it was actual faith or fantasy. And sometimes may never know. But it's more like hoping...

Re: Faith! What's it good for? Absolutely nothing!
In a post down thread in "Making Covenants," MG 2.0 observes alas, it seems as though almost anything connected with faith has a fair amount of uncertainty mixed in. It is repeated frequently by religionists that god favors those that act on mere faith over those that insist on knowing. In light of...

Re: Faith! What's it good for? Absolutely nothing!
God and theism aside, humans have advanced by rejecting known options and seeking something more, something unknown and uncreated. I think faith is valuable when reality isn't good enough, and when through imagination we can make it better. Sounds like god resides in the cinematic arts. I'm an athe...

Nah, some do better and are aware that their position is risky and respect others who have chosen different positions.
