Re: The Many-Transfigurations theory

Oh, I know that quote is in the Hadith. It's the idea that Muhammed used those words when he was shrugging his shoulders about picking a successor that's screwy. There are a lot of theories about who Muhammed thought should succeed him, but I don't believe the majority of them (whether Twelver or Su...

Re: Seeing Things Differently -DanP the apologist excuse.

Believe me, it’s been all to your benefit. I’ve cut you an extraordinary amount of slack because of it, and assigned you the best of motives. Gee, thanks. Sarcasm noted. It's true, whether you like reading it or not. I cut you slack and engage you because you remind me of him. I don't know much abo...

Re: Seeing Things Differently -DanP the apologist excuse.

Not sure what all of this is, nor what it means… Ah, the old feigning confusion ploy. …or what precipitated the meltdown. Ah, the old meltdown ploy. I mentioned your deception (or what you call a technicality), and now you’re talking about your defensiveness and road to recovery or something like t...

Re: Seeing Things Differently -DanP the apologist excuse.

First question-Is more Information always better than less information? Answer:No Second question-Is it generally better to have more information on a particular topic than less in order to make reasoned judgments and conclusions? Yes I’ll leave that as it is. If you want to continue on with your n...

Earlier you mentioned that I reminded you of your brother.

Re: Seeing Things Differently -DanP the apologist excuse.

What was your question for the "on the other hand part"? Is it generally better to have more information on a particular topic than less in order to make reasoned judgments and conclusions? That's an entirely different question--and includes a concept that no one would disagree with. Of course it's...

More information is ALWAYS better. Even if it's bigoted, misleading, twisted, or false information. Can't ever have too much dubious information.

By the way, more bees is always better.
I think you misspelled "beer"
My god, you're right!

Re: Seeing Things Differently -DanP the apologist excuse.

On the other hand: Pi A.I.: Generally speaking, yes, having more information on a particular topic can be beneficial in making reasoned judgments and conclusions. When we have more information, we can better evaluate different perspectives, weigh the pros and cons of different options, and make mor...

Re: Seeing Things Differently -DanP the apologist excuse.

Why will even A.I. never tell you that "More information is ALWAYS better"? Because even an inconsistent, partially formed, unsophisticated, dumbass computer program knows a dozen reasons that's not true.

Like hippos, potassium, and bees, more information is not always better.

More information the better.
Really? I notice that you didn't you ask it about that.

Ask your beloved A.I. "Is more information ALWAYS better?" It will never tell you yes.
