Re: Stepping down
And yet, Mormons are rather well educated, hard workers, love god, attempt to do god's will, be good neighbors, love their enemy and in the main, contribute well to society. Your description just doesn't add up to the end result. Somewhat like most other citizens, with the God part optional, and wh...

Nightingale, If you're responding to me, then point taken. Anyway, at this point, it doesn't look like anyone thinks Paloma is a sock, so the matter seems to have worked itself out. Hi Gadianton. Thanks for your reply. I wasn't thinking of you specifically in my response. I didn't even look back to...

What I don't understand is that Paloma joined this board in 2010. Talk about a long con if she is a puppet! The frequency of posting shouldn't matter, it's having been signed up for years and having contributed kind and thoughtful posts that impact readers positively. What about Paloma could possibl...

Re: FINALLY: THE LONG-AWAITED RULING (please read!)
A couple of people said to Paloma:
"You are either a sock of Liz, or very naïve."
"A sock."
I know this poster personally. They are not a sock. Not a Mormon. Never been a Mormon. Definitely not Liz.

I don't think you need to apologize for being compassionate. Swords/ploughshares 'n all that.

Re: DCP revisits Dehlin hit piece and MI purge ...
I am sure you see the irony in this situation. How often are ex Mormons just told to get over it, how often do members wonder why they "just can't leave it alone?" This is a very good point. I do understand how people don't really get something until it happens to them. Still, too bad tha...

Re: ON THE UPCOMING RULING: The issues as I see them
Since you have the luxury of being more neutral, maybe you can point out what I am missing. How is Scratch's posting of my involvement with a spanking website related to my post or the topic at hand? I'm sorry, Liz. While I may be more neutral, I am much less informed than regular readers/participa...

Re: ON THE UPCOMING RULING: The issues as I see them
I asked, "Is the material from another site relevant to discussions here?" I meant this more as a question to ask ourselves as we are posting but I see that I didn't make this at all clear. I certainly see the reasons some have outlined for why some such material could be totally relevant....

Re: ON THE UPCOMING RULING: The issues as I see them
1. Is the material from another site relevant to discussions here? 2. Is it fine to post material here from another site, for the purpose of embarrassing another poster (as opposed to adding to the discussion) especially if said material has seriously negative in real life repercussions (such as cus...
