Re: Mormons and Critical Race Theory
Drumdude, Your example of being a Harvard admissions officer (or maybe that is true?) is a fascinating area to step into when it comes to these types of discussions. My day job is dealing with large amounts of data and using it to tell stories, do deep analysis, etc. A few years ago I was supporting...

Re: Mormons and Critical Race Theory
I for one hope my children learn from the past, that they understand that they do have advantages in life over others, and how they can help even the playing field. It is crazy to me for people, especially white males to get so defensive about the world that surrounds us. I can drive my car through ...

Re: Chris Heimerdinger responds to critics
That published meta analysis, if I remember correctly, does not hold up to scrutiny due to issues with some of the data used. Here https://www.nature.com/articles/s41591-021-01535-y is a response with concerns about that study, and others. I think enough time has now passed that if ivermectin was a ...

Mormon Dialogue and Discussion Board down
I tried visiting the faithful board, but it redirects to a message that the website is disabled. Anyone know what is going on?

Re: Bought Yahoo's Dishonest Scholarship
My limited impression of BY has been quite the rollercoaster. I was unaware of the issues with his scholarship pointed out in this thread, but some of his publications make sense due to the types of cases he has taken on in his career. I do have a question for you BY, have your recent cases that you...

Re: Which of the Mopologists (if any) Has Received the 2nd Anointing?
Does anyone have a good handle on what exactly entitles one to a 2nd Anointing? A temple president is kind of self-evident, but it’s just speculation on my part. - Doc I once had someone tell me that if you have the power to seal things here on earth, then you have received the second anointing. I ...

Re: Fact Checking Nelson's "Doors Of Death" light aircraft near death experience
Wow, thanks for taking the time to type that up. Very good breakdown of the situation. But they didn't land in a field. (Note, Nelson never claimed it was a farmer's field, that was Sherri Dew) I understand what you are saying here, especially staying neutral, Dew got those details from someone, and...

Re: Fact Checking Nelson's "Doors Of Death" light aircraft near death experience
this has been an interesting thread to follow over these months. A big thanks to all the research and expertise being shared. The one area that is triggering for me here and on the MDD board is due to the necessity concede soo many points to make it fit he narrative. a death spiral is more likely a ...

Re: Interpretering Bayesian Analysis
This has been an interesting thread and i believe exposes the value of dialogue and discussion around these topics. From my stand point, i am not a huge fan of utilizing Bayes in this way. The anachronisms, imho, cannot be ignored or reduced to a measure that only decreases the odds of authenticity....

Re: On audits, elections and public trust
Blue ANON, first time hearing that, thanks for the enlightenment. Are the libs saying, “no fraud, no need to investigate, clean election…”? I am of the mindset, if there is any proof of fraud, investigate. The only examples of fraud I have read about are actually votes for Trump. Because of the impr...
