Re: Health in the navel, marrow in the bones is false?
The article doesn't say you have to drink 3 per day to be a moderate drinker. I think they are taking into account that there are different body types and those who may be able to drink up to 3 or 4 drinks per day without becoming a drunk. For example, I am very small so I know I can drink 1, maybe ...

Re: Health in the navel, marrow in the bones is false?
I saw this article, too. I found much to like about it. The most important thing I took away from it is that the moderate consumption of alcohol is beneficial (1-4 drinks per day). The benefits didn't reach to those who are social drinkers, like once or twice weekly, to those who regularly drink too...

Re: Mormon Feminism is Back But what do they hope to accomplish?
I think, one problem for onlookers and outsiders is in knowing what LDS women want, what direction do LDS feminists wish to take in order to obtain some semblance of equality? Mormon men need to be told what Mormon women want. Part of the problem, though, is that Mormon women don't know what they w...

Re: Mormon feminism
If you haven't read Ms Jack's linked list of issues, you should. Then think about each of those issues as though you were directly affected. None of them has to do with women receiving the priesthood or Mother in Heaven. Thank you, Ms Jack.

Re: Mormon feminism
With all due respect, it is difficult, nigh unto impossible, for a Mormon man to understand Mormon feminism as they have not lived the Mormon women's life. Yes, I totally understand that there are loads of women who are fine with the status quo, but for a large segment that is not enough. Just becau...

Re: Percentage of membership in polygamy
The vast majority of nineteenth-century adult Mormon males (perhaps upward of 90 percent) never practiced polygamy. I would have to agree with that. There were loads of LDS men who went off to be cowboys in central and southern Utah when they weren't allowed to be married to the LDS girls. One side...

Re: Out standing friend- out standing on temple grounds
Seriously, you are not missing s***. The Mormon temple marriage ceremony is far more about some old fossil blathering on about the pure lineage of the goddamned priesthood from Jesus to Joe, to the grooms grampa, to his dad, to him.. than it is about two people publicly marking the commitment to ea...

Re: Jim Carrey is a Mormon???
And where did you hear this? Could it have been from the brother in law of your cousin's roommate who is in his stake? Or perhaps he was seen wearing what looked suspiciously like a CTR ring on the red carpet somewhere? IDK, this kind of information has, more often than not, been pure Mormon urban l...
