I got:

obedience
obedience training
obedience is better than sacrifice
obedience to authority

I believe google search results are partly dependent upon geography. Your results look normal if you are in Utah.

The one in the white shirt and tie.

Re: Extraordinary Claims by Grant Palmer

The odds as I see it: Odds that a mission president and member of the 1st Q of the 70 do not believe in the truth claims of the church: pretty good. Odds that An Insider's Guide played a role in the mission president and member of the 70 in disbelieving: still pretty good. Odds they would want to me...

Re: The apologetics of richness

I do not think it is a cop-out. Why does anyone who believes in Joseph's prophetic mission believe that Joseph is infallible? There is no reason to believe this. I see no reason at all why Joseph might be wrong. The anti-apologist is as tied to the literality as much as some apologists. I prefer th...

Re: The apologetics of richness

Having known a few dervishes, I do not think Bushman would be offended, despite the fact that I suppose you're trying to be insulting. I'm not trying to be insulting at all (to Bushman or the whirling dervishes). I don't think Bushman would be offended either. He described his testimony to me as my...

Re: The apologetics of richness

The difference between Richard Bushman and a whirling dervish is that one of them spins in more circles than the other. Both are mystics. I don't think Mormonism lends itself to mysticism, but to each their own.

Re: The Fall and the Flood in the 2013 Bible Dictionary.

So the compilers of the Bible Dictionary are as capable as reading the plain meaning of the scriptures as I was as a teenager. In spite of the recent concession in the Fall of Adam entry, I assume the mopologists will accuse the Bible Dictionary compilers of being fundamentalists. I think we would ...

Re: The 1858 Eastern Migration of Disillusioned Pioneers

This is a fascinating topic that I know very little about, but it makes me wonder if perhaps it would have been more accurate for Marlin Jensen to say, "maybe since [1858], we never have had a period of, I'll call it apostasy, like we're having right now." Mormons celebrate the "Days ...

Re: Ask Mormon Girl: How should I teach tough aspects of Mor

I enjoyed this comment on the article: The older I become, the less tolerant I am of religious lies, no matter how noble the intention. “Betrayal” is a kind word to describe the feeling one has when discovering that people trusted to lead into truth were in fact offering one deception after another....

Re: Over Under

Another factor that could play into it is this:

Girls.

He's 22. If he is striving to follow the counsel to not delay marriage and becomes twitter-pated with a good Mormon girl, he may shelve any questions he has in the name of love.
