Re: Repent for the End is Nigh (MD&D)
I will attempt to illustrate: Example 1: Hey everyone did you see that Nehor was banned from MDDB, his banning occurred in this post. *sentence is within the "laws" of this board* Example 2: LULZ, you have to read this, poster "John Smith" over at MDDB just layed into the mods o...

Re: Repent for the End is Nigh (MD&D)
Lift the default setting that makes his given name appear as pahoran. A poster violates the "rules" when a posters identifies the R C M on MDDB as a specific screen name here. Are you missing what Shades is saying or am I? Pahoran is a registered poster on MDB. He has requested that his i...

Re: Repent for the End is Nigh (MD&D)
So now that Pahoran is using his real name, does this mean it is no longer breaking the rules here when we use it? Technically that's incorrect, since as a registered user here Pahoran has requested that we not use his real name. . . and as a registered user, he has that right. Nevertheless, when d...

Re: Repent for the End is Nigh (MD&D)
I find it hilarious that smac97 played an apparent unintended role in exposing Pahoran sockpuppetry. Smac, qouted Mcgregor but referred to him a Pahoran, which prompted a response asking if Mcgregor and Pahoran are the same person. Also, Pahoran, a bit of advice. If you are going to create and use s...

Re: Utah Mormon fighting to legalise marijuana....
The legalization proposal would permit consumption - not by smoking. Does ingestion of marijuana violate the Word of Wisdom?

Re: Protests on Indiana RFRA law miss one important point
http://hotair.com/archives/2015/03/28/video-protests-over-indiana-version-of-rfra-seem-to-miss-one-important-point/ The left is just using Alinskyite tactics to try to discredit Pence. Before you attempt to label something as BS....perhaps you should educate yourself on the identification of BS. He...

Re: Correct your misconceptions about Mormonism for only $5
She's a cute girl. Reminds me of my daughter, who's always thinking up money making schemes. She will also do your Math for $5. If I saw her sitting at her "Learn about Mormonism for $5 booth" I'd give her $5. It's good to encourage young entrepreneurs. I guess it can't be priestcraft if ...

Re: LDS Church found guilty of misconduct. $4.2million damag
The hotline...is this an LDS hotline expressly for use by LDS? My guess is that the hotline is specifically for LDS. While the hotline prevents a Bishop/SP (as you identify them) from reporting a confession, does it exempt them from reporting a report they've been given? The victims in this case, r...

Re: LDS Church found guilty of misconduct. $4.2million damag
I don't know that the Church should have to pay damages in this case. However, I think that the Church could certainly learn, using this case as an example, and change its policy, straight-out mandating that bishops report abuse crimes to authorities. I don't think there is a need for a "hotli...

Re: LDS Church found guilty of misconduct. $4.2million damag
FYI: Some states DO identify clergy as mandated reporters. I was pretty sure they did. Frankly, I think that all of them should. In 27 States clergy are what could best be described as limited mandatory reporters. That is, Clergy are not mandatory reporters if the knowledge of the abuse came from t...
