Re: LDS Church kept the lid on its $100B fund for fear tithing receipts would fall, account boss tells Wall Street Journ

Show me some really good proof that these guys somehow know the future because their actions certainly don't show that. If you do, I will consider it. Also, have you even considered that their course of action to deliberately and purposefully hide the so called "rainy day fund" from the members sho...

Re: Carmack/Skousen: "Virtually none of the grammatical variants listed in section 4-archaic grammar are archaic."

For an example of this, look no further than FairMormon's (sorry, TITS) own Kwaku video on Archaeology . Nahom, they say, is the most obvious evidence and "there's no debating" that "bullseye evidence." ) Oh my gosh. What the HELL did I just watch? That was bizarre. FairMormon is okay with that bun...

One should notice that the shorter the example (individual word meanings and short phrases) the greater the odds that our initial analysis was correct. Here is one of those uses of statistics that gives rise to the phrase, "lies, damned lies, and statistics." The four categories that he uses each e...

Re: Mormon TALK just started!!

Carson says poor can't help that they are poor, but homeless ARE HOMELESS BY CHOICE, and should therefore not be allowed in your home. But you can throw down a water bottle for them. He also mentions slices of bread, making me think Carson has perhaps mistaken ducks down by the pond for homeless pe...

An email from Skousen about this topic was posted on SeN: Stan and I are doing what we promised we would do in the introduction to The Nature of the Original Language [of the Book of Mormon], namely, to reconsider our findings as the databases got better (especially our access to the texts in ECCO)....

And Vermont is filled with dumb people who live in communes.

Such wisdom.

Re: LDS Church kept the lid on its $100B fund for fear tithing receipts would fall, account boss tells Wall Street Journ

One could argue that it’s pretty difficult for an organization meeting the needs of those seeking spiritual preparedness to do so without having the temporal means to keep the organization alive. Of course one could argue that. And it would be a great argument. But that doesn't mean it's what Jesus...

Why do people play Monopoly? The fact of the matter is that in general, executive directors of non-profits love having a giant hoard of cash. They enjoy watching it grow. It is fun. It makes them feel important. It adds security. A major point of charity watchdogs is to encourage transparency so th...
