Re: Desolate Son Tal Bachman
When was the last time anyone on this board had any dealings with Daniel Peterson? When did you last have direct dealings with Daniel C. Peterson? For me, it was a couple of months ago. I usually see DCP several times a year in both personal and professional settings. We even have a poster here who...

Re: Faithful TBM to doubter in 6 hours on ex-Mormon Reddit
Unfortunately, its aim is to support an organization which defrauds its members of their money, lies to them about how the organization came to be and is run, and spiritually abuses minorities within its membership. Other than that, it's a feel-good meaningless catchphrase that Kevin cannot adequat...

Re: Desolate Son Tal Bachman
When was the last time that Dr. P. had any dealings with Bachman? Over ten years ago? Do these guys know any emotion other than vindictive rage? Mind if I ask, Dr. Scratch? When was the last time anyone on this board had any dealings with Daniel Peterson? When did you last have direct dealings with...

Desolate Son Tal Bachman
Louis Midgley: "I wonder if Professor Peterson can now remember our unpleasant experiences with Talmage Bachman, the desolate son of the famous Canadian musician Randy Bachman." I can. I actually thought of him once or twice while in the Victoria area. A really sad case. Louis Midgley: "However, I ...

Re: Could it be that apologists don't pay attention to details?
I think apologists realize that parallel proofs for LDS claims are found wanting when they pay attention to detail. Are you referring to the exmo apologists or the LDS apologists? Define exmo apologist. The opposite of a Mormon apologist is a normal default human being. It’s a stretch to call someo...

Re: Stephen Smoot's Vendetta
Stephen “The Rommelator” Smoot’s online handle ties in nicely with other LDS apologists Nazi fascination.

It’s quite hypocritical for them to whinge about this forum being malevolently obsessive when they do the exact same thing (even worse) to the heartlanders.

3) Trump is bad. 110% agree with Dan here. Drumdude, I'm going to need to lean on your expertise here. Do you have examples of what his beef with Trump is? (folks in SP, let's get the counter reset, Thanks) Have you seen him say anything negative about Jan 6, for instance? I haven't read much from ...

Re: The Book of Mormon proves the historicity of the Jewish exodus
In my opinion, you will find a lot of parallels with Mormonism and BYU as well. I think Mormons are starting to go through their own version of the modernist controversy at the moment. There’s no doubt about that. The internet has forced the issue upon them. The problem ahead for Mormonism is that ...

Re: Could it be that apologists don't pay attention to details?
I think it depends on what angle they're trying to get at. The details matter tremendously when those details are faith promoting. Those details do not matter or are irrelevant when they are not faith promoting or are harmful to Mormon faith. It's all part of the tried and true apologist shell game ...
