Re: Way Off-Topic: Question for RPGamers

There has been a delicious in-game twist I could not have planned that has me almost giggling to myself. I won't mention it yet just in case one of our players stumbles across this thread. If this was a secure "GM" channel I'd throw it out there to share my good fortune: a player made an offhand de...

Re: DCP's Fake No Touch Knockout Technique

The only explanation is that they are voluntarily and purposefully falling over. I totally agree. Have you ever heard of "Slain in the spirit?" That is something I have witnessed firsthand on several occasions. I won't argue that it isn't voluntary, but I am persuaded that some folks sincerely beli...

Turkey-shuffle dude ...
He's well on his way to becoming a sensei.
He may be on to something: as far as I can determine, no dojo currently teaches how to defend against the turkey shuffle.

All those students are falling down (except for one dude doing the turkey shuffle)
Turkey-shuffle dude is the best part. I wonder what was going through his head? "I ain't feelin' it -- I think I saw vending machines over this way ..."

Re: Way Off-Topic: Question for RPGamers

honorentheos: I am curious how you handled this, and how things are working out. Hey Bret - Thanks for the interesting update to your own game's progress. I often get a similar sense of exhaustion after many sessions where I felt like I was flying by the seat of my pants improvising what I hope is ...

Re: DCP's Fake No Touch Knockout Technique

Those are good points. Thank you for typing them. Nevertheless, even if they never challenge the sensei, certainly at some point the students are required to spar with each other. When they progress to yellow belt, then to blue belt, etc., wouldn’t they notice that their opponents’ punches continue...

in my opinion, it’s the right decision. Can you imagine the chaos that would ensue if states could restrict who could and couldn’t run for President? This is my initial reaction as well, even though his presence on the ballot is an uncomfortable reminder that sometimes America is just a lie we tell...
