Re: Dr. Shades's spelling and/or grammar lesson of the day
Shades drives me crazy at times, but I like the grammar lessons. I don't think Shades was targeting you out of some personal slight. He just does this sometimes. In the age of the internet and typing over writing, I think these little reminders are important. I'm amazed by the number of people who ...

Re: Trump in killing mood ...
Hmm, you all have convinced me 99% of the way. Regarding that niggling remaining 1%, isn't it more accurate to say that the Trump Administration ended the de facto moratorium on the death penalty?

Re: Dr. Shades's spelling and/or grammar lesson of the day
In this case, "information" is a complete sentence, so the ellipsis begins directly after the final word (without a space between them). Oh well, in that case, you're still wrong. If an omission comes at the end of a sentence, you must include the original punctuation. So, with the statement in que...

Re: Trump in killing mood ...
Oh really? So the unprecedented rush of federal executions in the 'lame duck' period is nothing to do with Trump? Correlation does not imply causation. Some minor bureaucrat just decided to celebrate his departure this way. I don't know if it's one or several bureaucrats. . . or, more likely, judge...

Re: Dr. Shades's spelling and/or grammar lesson of the day
When using ellipses, they should have a space on either side. As such, the above sentence should be written: Choice of location . . . I'm going to wait for more information . . . because, it might've been a retired Texas sheriff who finally located where all the secret missing ballots are. In this ...

Re: Dr. Shades's spelling and/or grammar lesson of the day
To give a grammar tutorial one doesn't need to use the full post of the user unless one is trying to belittle and bully the target. Then it's a good thing nobody used the full post of the user, isn't it? (2) "Ballet" was a typo. Even though the "e" and the "o" are on opposite sides of the keyboard?...

Re: Trump in killing mood ...
I read the O.P. There's nothing that states how Trump has anything whatsoever to do with this, other than he just so happens to be the individual in office at this time, nothing more.

Re: Ruth Bader Ginsburg
I'm not blaming anyone for this, but it is still unfortunate for the country that Ruth Bader Ginsburg did not choose to retire during the part of Obama's term when he could easily have nominated a younger, progressive Supreme Court Justice. Yeah, but did the American people want a younger, progress...
