Given that a non temple recommend holding person has been in, will the temple need to be rededicated?
JAQing off again, I see.

Re: The Top Ten Happenings in Mopologetics, 2022

…I don’t think it’s intellectually rigorous to say cute little one-liners or quips meant to inflame. I certainly don’t like JAQing off… Same poster. Does everything shock you? It is easy to set up a quick and dirty straw man when you only quote part of what I said. Try reading the whole thin...

Re: The Top Ten Happenings in Mopologetics, 2022

That’s a very interesting point, Dr. Moore. It’s rare that we see clear cases where the Brethren endorse or acknowledge Mopologetic views or activity. I’m curious: where did you see signs that the Mopologists were fully on board with Holland’s views? Here, herr doktor. https://discussmormonism.com/...

Rosalynde Welch, Jim Faulconer, Don Bradley, Daniel McLellan…

Oh, someone brought up a “good” apologist and I was attempting to list a few others who have, y’know, a moral compass.

Re: The Top Ten Happenings in Mopologetics, 2022

Back on topic: I enjoyed UTBoH. The show, I mean. It was very well done, and gave me a bit of nostalgia for 1980s Utah County. I treated it, in my mind, like an episode of Sliders . A 1980s Utah in an alternate universe. The representation of Mormonism was foreign to me, but had just enough of a spr...

Re: The Top Ten Happenings in Mopologetics, 2022

Does everything shock you? Not at all. For instance, one thing that doesn't shock me anymore is the existence of marginally active apologists with marginal belief in the church, who are marginalized by their ward and church culture in general, but for some reason they become apologists and even the...

Re: The Midge, a Novelette

Part III Despite his obsession with Gina, Midgley eventually realized that he could not win her back. He returned to America, defeated and disillusioned, and he struggled to come to terms with the events of his past. Eventually, Midgley found solace in his faith once again. He threw himself into hi...

Re: The Midge, a Novelette

As Gina's relationship with Midgley grew increasingly toxic, she began to question her faith. She no longer felt the same connection to the Mormon Church, and she found herself drawn to other religious traditions. Eventually, Gina made the difficult decision to leave the church altogether. She moved...

Re: The Midge, a Novelette

Part II As Midgley returned to America, he was consumed by guilt and shame over his actions in New Zealand. He tried to put the experience behind him, but he was plagued by nightmares and flashbacks of the boy he had attacked. In an effort to distract himself, Midgley began to focus on his work wit...
