Re: Exceptions to the Word of Wisdom Requirement?
I remember when I was a child, my parents used to drink a lot of postum. I never particularly liked it myself. When I eventually had my first taste of real coffee, I found I didn't particularly like that either. I still don't, and that is really the only reason I refrain from drinking it.

Re: Exceptions to the Word of Wisdom Requirement?
My impression is that the Word of Wisdom was not always as rigidly enforced as it is now. I was told that the first Mission President I had during my time as a Mormon missionary in Denmark, who on his first mission to Denmark, was noted for being the only one of the smokers his group of new arrivals...

Re: Maybe Inspiration
Advice? Everyone vote on Tuesday if you haven't already. From Whiterun Hold to Diamond City in the Commonwealth, get out and vote like the future of democracy depended on it. I think the future of democracy does depend on it, and the GOP has already abandoned democracy in favor of oligarchy. It is ...

Re: Trump ended COVID19
99,321 new cases yesterday. We've rounded the corner, and come to the edge of a cliff. More recent update: 101,040 new cases yesterday and 1,040 new deaths. And, as already noted, this recent massive surge in number of new cases is likely to result in a similarly massive number of hospitalizations ...

Re: Trump ended COVID19
99,321 new cases yesterday. We've rounded the corner, and come to the edge of a cliff. How so? with a +99% survivability rate, and total deaths less than many many other medical circumstances, I am curious about the source of your mania....is it....per chance....maybe....#tds? A total of 9,111,013 ...

Re: Board Functions
I would just like to say how disorienting it is as I am transferring some thread from the Old Country to the Promised Land here. The two sites are such clones I don't always know which one I am on from window to window. I've had to stop several times and ask myself "Wait. Where am I? Which board is...

Re: A pre-election game
South Carolina is too red of a state for Graham not to win his re-election bid. I fervently hope you are wrong about that! I also wish that Amy McGrath had a better chance of beating McConnell in Kentucky. He is arguably the most hated politician in the entire country. I wish that were also true am...

Re: Trump ended COVID19
It appears to me that now that Trump has had covid-19 and "recovered" and thinks he is now immune and safe from getting it again, he no longer cares how many other people get sick and die from it. Nor does he care how many of his rabid supporters get it at this point due to his rallies. The rally at...
