I highly recommend the Pulitzer Prize winning book, Gödel, Escher, Bach: An Eternal Golden Braid, by Douglas Hofstadter on this and related subjects. It is one of the most interesting and profound books I ever read!

Apparently to today's Republicans and conservatives, freedom of speech means unrestricted and exclusive license for them to lie without having to worry about being fact checked.
