Re: Wordprint Studies & the Book of Mormon
And I think you have let your arrogance take the better part of your soul/being. Do you have any ongoing issues with having been rejected at times back in the day when you believed you had answers that…from your perspective…no one wanted to hear? When your writings and publications were at times re...

Other than that, he said, it was a huge amount of travel, freezing hotels with no heating and with foyers that smelled of urine (he spent several years in the former Soviet Union), and long days of counseling and meeting from morning often into the night. I'm not sure if it matters, but there appea...

Re: Mormon Universalism - are the temple ceremonies really necessary?
drumdude, of course, can speak for himself, but it would not surprise me if he were taking to heart the scripture (ha!) that tells those who have been warned that they should warn their neighbour. Do other Christian denominations in the west send out tens of thousands of missionaries to "convert" p...

Re: Mormon Universalism - are the temple ceremonies really necessary?
How ironic! The desperate need of the Mormon church to pull people away from living the gospel of Jesus Christ in their family's usual way is unfortunate, in my opinion. Most of these people are likely trying every day to improve and become more like the Savior. drumdude used the word ‘desperate’. ...

Re: Mormon Universalism - are the temple ceremonies really necessary?
Your desperate need to pull people away from living the gospel of Jesus Christ is unfortunate, in my opinion. Latter Day Saints are trying every day to improve and become more like the Savior. Why would you fault them for that or want to destroy their faith in God, or convince them that they are in...

Re: Mormon Universalism - are the temple ceremonies really necessary?
What I would suggest to both of you is that the Mormon greed for 10% of their members' income is unique compared to every other major religion. The amount is specific, when most other religions are vague. It is strongly enforced, when most other religions are not. Scientology is the only other one ...

What is the disease? Regards, MG Planting into fellow humans the idea that they are required to pay 10% of their income to a corporation in order to avoid eternal punishment, loss of their genitals in the afterlife, and contact with their families who are in another segregated section of eternity. ...

Re: Kyler Rasmussen Proves Russell M. Nelson Is An Alien!
Hi Res Ipsa, Pinker's point about that "proof" is that it confuses the following two probabilities with each other: 1- What's the probability that a randomly drawn member of the set "human beings" is the pope? 2- What is the probability that the pope is a member of the set "human beings"? A proper ...

Re: BYU Professors claim LDS Church reduces risk of depression/suicide in LGBTQ
Here’s an odd one. Dan asked if these ladies from a stock photo are faking their happiness or not. I guess he just proved Mormons can’t be suicidal because they’re so dang happy in stock photos which promote the LDS church. Well, the lady in the middle looks a little unsure to me. Her semi-smile co...
