Re: One hour church

A couple of people have mentioned church via internet. For anyone who is seriously interested in a mormonish internet experience, you might want to try: m Bonuses: ⋅ John Hamer is the pastor ⋅  Inclusive services - LGBTQ+ affirming. Interfaith (CoC) ⋅  History And Philo...

Re: Louis Midgley Threatens to "Pay a Visit" to Gina Colvin

Dr Midgley might be interested to know that, unlike the Mormon church he is most familiar with, some Mormon organizations do not insist that members "belong" to a congregation within whose boundaries they reside - they actually allow adult members to make grown-up decisions for themselves....

Does Shades have a second site? What am I missing? Otherwise, Dr. Shades doesn't actually post here all that much. He posts regularly but not obsessively and his posts are generally short. Unless he's really fanatical over on his second site that I haven't seen yet, he seems to be dedicating much l...

Re: Satanic victories now deemed "Acceptable"

"The term "Mormonism" is inaccurate and should not be used. When describing the combination of doctrine, culture and lifestyle unique to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the term "the restored gospel of Jesus Christ" is accurate and preferred." That's b...

Re: Gemli Continues Making Hash out of Sic et Non Cheerleade

Plantinga ... does make arguments that are much easier to assert than they are to debunk. Well, this is always the goal of arguing. Ideally one does it by making arguments that are impossible to debunk because they are valid. But I know what you mean. In debates it seems to be irresistible for both...

Can't feel the spirit? Perhaps you're just mentally ill!

I can’t feel the Spirit. Is it my fault that I’m struggling? Do I just need more faith? An inability to feel the Spirit, or a general feeling of apathy or numbness, is often a symptom of poor mental health . God has not forsaken you. Even Christ, in the Garden of Gethsemane, felt the Spirit withdra...

I saw a few comments were deleted. I guess Blake pulled some strings over there?

FYI, Blake claims to have found out the true identities of two commenters and is threatening to dox them.

Is Kiwi57 one of the commenters to be doxxed?

Re: Smoot is Not Wholly Wrong: A Plea for a Proper Response

Quite a few people on the ex-Scientologist message board agreed that there was a big let-down after leaving the cult. They weren't saving the universe any more. They were just living their lives like all the ordinary people on whom they had looked down for so long. I suspect that for Mormons who to...
