Re: CALL FOR MODERATORS

lol. Here we go again. Yes you have, but your claims after the fact that people show it again are yet another trolling strategy. You seem really accomplished at those (I wonder why?) but your distractions are not worth the time. Bottom line, you are not moderator material and like multiple others, ...

Re: CALL FOR MODERATORS

Lem: you’re not equipped to have a conversation about IP addressing, clearly. And you are because you helped your daughter study for a routing and switching Cisco exam? That's hilarious. You know how to Google. Good job. And yes, that qualifies me to talk about the basics of how IPs work. You...

Re: CALL FOR MODERATORS

If your work uses a static IP address, and you post from there, it wouldn’t be too hard to sleuth out your in real life and cause problems. Someone with mod powers could send a msg to your work, with whatever they deem problematic, attach your IP address, and then the rest is what it is. An unethic...

Re: CALL FOR MODERATORS

I’m not sure why proving that IP addresses are meaningless data points make it “not look good” for me. So the guy who assures everyone that IP addresses are "meaningless data points," unless of course they are combined with other information, wants access, "for just 90 days!" to everyone's IP addre...

Re: CALL FOR MODERATORS

Hey Sledge I must admit, it isn't looking very good for you but just so you know, Shades and Shades alone will be making these mod decisions (And I for one am comforted by that fact) Anyway, I'm not sure how to ask you this, so I'll just ask: Since you probably don't really need those buttons anymo...

That would provide no useful information except a bunch of numbers.
"Hey look, this Stake President logged into LDS services with the same IP we got from a moderator at that atheist website Peterson keeps watch over"

Re: CALL FOR MODERATORS

You do realize it's technically possible for the LDS church to keep a log of IP addresses associated with members who log in to LDS websites? It's not just technically possible, it's trivial. It's also trivial to share that information with the Strengthening the Church Members Committee. That would...

Re: CALL FOR MODERATORS

So you think because only when IP addresses are combined with other information is there a risk, this means that allowing an untrustworthy person access to IP addresses is no risk? Keep digging that hole for yourself. No more than your online username, a linguistic idiosyncrasy, or any other random...
