I am struck by the fact that this is what the LDS church does to so many of its members. Take down the offending Facebook posts and you can remain a member. Take down the offending podcast and you can remain a member. Nothing wrong with that though is there Mike?

Does it feel weird getting an award for doing things you not only didn’t do, but are morally opposed to doing in the first place?

Half of my mission was paid for by my local 70s Quorum. I have always been grateful.

More recently I funded the entire mission of a young man in the ward whose family was strapped for cash.

My favorite part is when Hannah argues with Kwaku over whether Joseph Smith used his seer stone to dig for treasure.

I joined in 1978 and goals were a big deal then, too, continuing on to my mission.

We all learned the expression, “An unwritten goal is only a wish.”

To which I privately appended, “A goal is only a written wish.”
