Re: The Court Just Sealed Everyone’s Fate, Including Its Own
Part two is about the problem of self-reference and contradiction. If I say "this sentence is false" -- what does that really mean? If a president is elected democratically, but then figures out how to subvert the system and stay in power beyond his term, is it still a democracy? No it's not a demo...

Re: Traveling Back in Time
When life begins is something I decide for myself based on what I think and believe. That's kind of how I feel about my paycheck. I should get to spend it how I see fit, not the politicians. The COVID vaccine is another good example. It's my body and it's my choice, not the "experts," who claimed w...

Re: Traveling Back in Time
Not necessarily, but I do believe that our disrespect and abuse of our creative powers is offensive to God. Such disrespect is also a recipe for child poverty and juvenile delinquency that plagues our society today. And for you, 'a baby' includes every fertilized ovum, right?

Re: Traveling Back in Time
Arizona didn't vote to reinstate this draconian anti-abortion law from 1864 when we voted for a Democratic Governor, SofS, and Attorney General in November of 2022. There will very likely be an initiative on the ballot that will enshrine abortion rights into the Arizona Constitution this coming Nov...

Re: An odd case of liberal intellectual honesty on COVID
Government money handouts helped keep up morale if nothing else. IWP, do you have a mortgage on your flat? Do you drive an automobile? In 2020 prior to suffering the consequences of printing trillions of dollars, a young family could purchase their first home comortably if they earned at least $75k...

Re: An odd case of liberal intellectual honesty on COVID
I wouldn't have been anywhere near those protests for a hundred other reasons including that one, even though being outside spreading Covid doesn't compare to a cramped classroom or office spreading it. It was still bad enough that leftwing media shouted that DeSantis had blood on his hands for ope...

Re: An odd case of liberal intellectual honesty on COVID
Who do I lobby? I could have gotten in my car gone to a riot and yelled, hey folks stop this? I think authorities were working on that. Just have the police shoot the protesters or trespassers the way Officer Michael Byrd shot Asley Babbit for trespassing. Then instead of accusing President Trump o...

Re: An odd case of liberal intellectual honesty on COVID
Ajax, you probably don't follow the research on COVID, but there's lots of it going on. As viruses go, it's still a relatively new disease. And the research is showing long term effects on the body, including the brain. We're talking heart damage, kidney damage, lung damage, brain damage and damage...

Re: An odd case of liberal intellectual honesty on COVID
280 billion of which was just flat-out stolen in what the AP called ‘the greatest grift in U.S. history,’ and which started an inflationary spiral And it all began with Donald Trump insisting on signing the first round of checks with his own name. Have you dropped 59.99$ on a Trump Bible yet, Ajax?...

An odd case of liberal intellectual honesty on COVID
Maher: We’re Better Off Under Biden, Don’t Have Excessive COVID Restrictions During his closing monologue on Friday’s broadcast of HBO’s “Real Time,” host Bill Maher argued that America is better off than it was four years ago because we’re not in the middle of the time “when COVID hit and America ...
