Meetings have always been boring. I left activity long before correlation because meetings were already so boring. Though, I agree correlation has made it so much worse.

Religion in general seems to depend on a belief in the existence of a being or beings who are not subject to the laws of physics as we know them. It is just easier to see them in Mormonism than more mainstream sects who have had a lot longer to develop their theology.

I have a son who served a Spanish mission and now works as a linguist in the military. He learned a third language in the military. He taught languages at both the MTC and in the military. for what it's worth he thinks the military training is much better than how the Church taught him.
