Re: How will the Mormon Church adapt to mandatory gay sealings
So the Church feels responsible to protect the Family and the moral fabric of our society. They feel Gay marriage is an affront to all of the above and should be opposed by any and all lawful means. How does gay marriage in their opinion threaten the family exactly? Because it is an immoral act con...

You'll find those elucidated in great detail in Whitmer's own An Address to All Believers in Christ , reprint in my possession, but found in various and sundry places around the 'net. I'm new here so perhaps things are done with a certain relaxed attitude. That's cool. I did want to share that Mark...

Re: How will the Mormon Church adapt to mandatory gay sealings
What do you think the church leadership is thinking? I'm not necessarily asking if anyone can justify it. That's easy. The basic unit of Society and the Gospel and the Plan of Happiness is the family. So the Church feels responsible to protect the Family and the moral fabric of our society. They fe...

Re: Went through the Temple last week...
William Law had problems with the King Follett discourse (and polygamy), not David Whitmer. David Whitmer was expelled during the Missouri period; he was never in Nauvoo wherein the King Follet discourse was given. (David Whitmer's problem was with A) revelations that came from a source other than ...

I wasn't banned....I was sent by Juliann and Nemesis to bring you back into the fold. Juliann and Nemesis know exactly how to get here. They don't need to "send" anyone. Surely you're joking. Sounds like another purge on MADB. It was a full moon not long ago. Maybe the effect is still bei...

Re: How will the Mormon Church adapt to mandatory gay sealings
In any event the church sure has put a lot of money into this issue. I still haven't found a satisfactory answer as to why. I wish I knew why so much money was dumped into this ridiculous proposition. I'm Mormon. I love Gay people, and think they should get married. I just don't get why I should fe...

Re: Went through the Temple last week...
I actually sat down with the Bountiful Temple President and had a pretty cool conversation about that. I doesn't concern me anymore. The language of the Temple is more symbolic than I first realized. And 5yrs from now, I'm sure I'll say the same thing. Big UP! Lamanite Uh oh! Lamanite's here. Hope ...

Re: Went through the Temple last week...
It also would have been cool if Adam had gone to shake Peter's hand, and Peter said "I'm sorry Adam, but I will not be born for another 4,000 years, so I do not have a body yet, and I would be deceiving you if I tried to shake your hand." I actually sat down with the Bountiful Temple Pres...

Re: How will the Mormon Church adapt to mandatory gay sealings
The idea that there was government pressure on the Church regarding it's policy on blacks and the priesthood is patently false, and without evidence or proof. The concept that the government could somehow "Force" the Church to perform sealings is absurd. There is no legal precedent, and th...
