Re: What Is Your Opinion of Utah?

I really liked Salt Lake City when I lived there. It's a quick trip up either Cottonwood canyon or up 80 to Park City for some great snowboarding. If you're into music, the clubs in SLC get lots of great bands and because the scene isn't huge, you can get into just about any show at the last minute....

Re: Dexter Fans???(Spoilers if you missed Sunday's episode)

That was a great episode. This season is redeeming itself. It's starting to come around. Less Rita, more Dexter!

Re: Dan Savage on Religion

The afterlife—it’s cruel, really when you think about it. Criminal, telling children that the people they love don’t die, that there is some other life, some better place, a place without pulmonary fibrosis or Tucson Arizona.

Where I served my mission. LOL.

Re: Mormon Myth-Busters

Awesome post, Dude. They would have to do the Ammon* test. How many arms can you lop off with one of those obsidian clubs? How many arms can you carry around on your person while keeping the sheep from scattering? They could get those guys from that Spike TV series, The Deadliest Warrior , to do all...

Re: Silentkid's Video Game Thread

I have discovered the best game ever. It's on Xbox Live Arcade and it's called Trials HD . Remember ExciteBike for the Nintendo? This game is kind of like that, but way better. You ride a motorcycle across a 2D track in a 3D world. Get from the start to the finish in the fastest time possible. But t...

Re: Wine-bibbing

Hey floatingboy. Good to see you. I still haven't given enough time to wine. My motto has always been "Grains Before Grapes". As for your advice about taking it slow, I couldn't agree more. Ease into it, guys. Your buzz will last longer and you won't hate yourself in the morning (or throug...

Re: 10 Failed Doomsday Predictions

Maybe 2012 will change things? No chance. The pattern of failure is too well established. End of World Predictions . Actually, I think the movie 2012 will be so bad that it will bring about the apocalypse it's portraying. I can't wait to see John Cusack successfully back a car out of an airplane th...

I'm not answering for Sethbag...just throwing in my opinion. Religions that have an apocolyptic theology have failed at predicting the end of the world time and time again. Maybe 2012 will change things?

Re: Dexter Fans???(Spoilers if you missed Sunday's episode)

I'm a huge Dexter fan. I've been watching it faithfully since its inception. Now that my cred is established, I have to say that last Sunday's episode was, by far, the worst episode of the entire series. I'm sick of whiny Rita and I can't stand the Angel/LaGuerta relationship subplot. They're going ...
