Not only that, have you conveniently forgotten that super spreading events occurred outdoors?
Oh, the protests? Jesus, Res. Do tell, what are the super spreaders that were outdoors and how do they compare to the outdoor activities that were not super spreaders? Yeah, like I said. Keep the political ranting and division focused on burning Portland and the secession of CHAZ.

Something to keep in mind with UVC doing its germicidal kung-fu, is that mucus throws a bit of a wrench in the sun doing its magic.

A virion on its lonesome doing the bioaerosol super cape thing will be inactivated pretty quickly; but, with simulated saliva you extend it out to where about 10% of the virions can still be hanging out after 7-12 minutes of a suntan.

Throw the nasties in simulated mucus, and it can take over an hour for the rascals to be inactivated.

There are good arguments that we should be doing more than just masks to prevent infection. Something as simple as putting an antiseptic swab up your nose after being in a large crowd to kill the virus there before it gets a chance to break into your system could be very effective. More research is needed.

Good enough; you believe that there was no need to keep folks from being close enough to more easily infect each other, at a time when not a lot was known about the virus’s tendency to spread by air or otherwise. You believe there’d be no airborne threat from the virus.

Not sure why you’d push negative pressure rooms if there’s no danger from airborne transmission. : D
That is not what I believe.
Airborne transmission is real.

Of course it is. So when you say this:
When you consider that this included masks that don't work and preventing people from using outdoor playgrounds which made no sense and closing elementary schools which made no sense and locking down people unnecessarily, well yeah no. It doesn't. Ya know what makes even less sense though? The reality that people think anyone that disagrees with them is just another 4chananon or something.

… then you might want to consider the context. It’s easy to play Monday Morning Quarterback now, but at the time that these measures were considered or requested, not everything was known about how coronavirus was spread, or how easily by airborne transmission.

We got lucky. Most of us, anyway.

There is a style difference and also a difference in intellectual content between a sarcastic fictional quote and an asinine assumption and accusation of what another believes, even when that belief was never stated or expressed. I know that is tough for you to understand. You seem smart though. Very smart.

Apparently, you’re aware of this possibility, but unable to recognize when it occurs. : D

No. It was obvious that the masks were nonsense and that the vaccines leaked. That was as obvious then as it is now. It was equally obvious that children were not at the same risk as adults.

It was easy calling BS on it then, and it is easy calling BS on it now.

“And is there a way we can do something like that, by injection inside or almost a cleaning, because you see it gets in the lungs and it does a tremendous number on the lungs, so it’d be interesting to check that, so that you’re going to have to use medical doctors with, but it sounds interesting to me.”

Feel free to give that rant to doctors, nurses and support staff that typically use simple masks to assist in reducing transmission of airborne pathogens.

I think that you’d rather have the fellow with COVID who’s coughing while directly facing you to keep wearing a mask, and that you wouldn’t request that he remove it during his coughing spell. Even now. And it’s OK for you to prefer that. No one will tell on you. : )

As for ‘the vaccines leaked’, you’ll have to back that up with some science, or at least an explanation as to what that even means to you.

Holy *****, panny. Are you under the impression that patients in the hospitals are all wearing masks? Are you also under the illusion that hospital conditions are the same as the fastener aisle at Home Depot and the yoga studio in Tribeca?

This may explain your delusions.

Oh, here is my science that the vaccines leaked: They don't work and gunnar got the 'rona and Res started a thread about B.5 or something like that.

Binger, bottom-line a few things for folks, so that no incorrect assumptions are made:

1. Do you believe that no administered dose of any of the currently available COVID vaccines has ever prevented a COVID infection?

2. Do you believe that no administered dose of any of the currently available COVID vaccines has ever mitigated the effects of a COVID infection?

3. Do you believe that negative pressure rooms provide 100% infection prevention between any two occupants within that room?

4. What measures, if any, should the public employ in order to reduce coronavirus transmission?

Thanks.
