That was my side yard with my old neighbor’s house in the background. I love everything about it, to include the Fall colors. Breakdown of plants from left to right:

If I was betting, and if this sumac is a tree, I’d go with African sumac. Tough as nails, and super drought hardy. It’s a bit messy and has fallen out of favor in the last couple of decades with desert metro landscapes, but it’s still a tree that I can appreciate for many reasons.
Winner winner chicken dinner.

Fun way to spot a house that has kids. If their African sumac has no bark on areas that can be climbed.

Should we have some climate deniers here to assert the water levels in these dams have not fallen?

Basic Water Company, which at one point was the sole provider of water to Henderson and Las Vegas in the mid-20th century, filed for bankruptcy protection on Saturday, a move the comes as the company is no longer able to pump water from Lake Mead.

When Lake Mead dropped below 1,043 feet in early July, Basic Water Company’s intake pipe that was installed in the 1940s could no longer draw water from the lake, company President and Chief Financial Officer Stephanne Zimmerman wrote in a 27-page filing in the bankruptcy case.

Somebody on LDSFF said they would like to see Lake Mead filled. :o

Some people would complain if you hung them with a new rope.

Lake Mead levels are on the rise, since Michael Sherwin said he would see what he could do about filling Lake Mead.

Someone on LDSFF requested it.

https://mead.uslakes.information/level.asp is a link to see if the trend continues.

Climate people on both sides should check out OTEC that President Carter proposed as the answer to OPEC’s embargo.

Possibly a plentitude of P words, play a pivotal role.

Said P words include Parker Princess Penguins and of course the venerable Perfume scent of Peace. 8-)
