Painted chandelier in my little lady's room. It was a nightmare to wire. I had to order block things to connect the wires and then they came when it was dark out so had to wait another day and then I struggled to get the previous light off because it had like 10 screws and the wiring confused me. So many wires and then I had to Google about a loop because it seemed strange that a live wire appeared to need connecting to a black wire but Google said that is so. Anyway all was good (the light is from my mother in law's livingroom, which meant that there was pvc tape on the wires which was confusing so I tried to pull it off to make the wires longer and a wire fell off. Turned out someone added tiny bits of wire to the existing wire which I assume was either to do with increasing length or colour coding. Anyway I thought I'll take the tape off and see what was under but pulled all of the little coloured wires off to find the original wires weren't colour coded as expected so then I was googling to try to find out what the colours should be which I didn't find by the way so wasted an hour. Then I just put them is as I had initially thought the wires should have been based on where they were when I pulled the tape off. Popped the power on and they short circuited. Which actually is a relief because I'd be more worried if I wasn't sure if it would trip the circuit beaker or not. So then I took it off (very close to giving up but the thought of screwing ten tiny screws again...) anyway so rewired it but I went by what my logic said which was green earth, blue neutral and no colour live. But put the live into the loop. Took pictures of the previous set up too so that when I put the previous light back when we come to move I know where it's all going. Anyway. It's done. All is good.
ETA: I know in the image it's open at the ceiling. This was when I was testing it and I didn't want to put it up to take it down again. It's up now.
Currently painting our bedroom. The paint is different to what I expected. It's more of a grey blue almost slate colour and I thought it was going to be dark blue more like navy. But that's probably a good thing because this is the smallest room. I've also decided to take the blue higher than planned. Should probably have painted the white part first but didn't fancy being dizzy. Jamie said I paint tidier than him lol. I can see where the previous people painted over a border and in one bit they didn't even remove the border. I've tried sanding the edges but I can still see it. Might have been better to put some wallpaper up.
Changed my mind. Going to put wallpaper up the top.

Sounds like a tedious project. It really brings the room together.

That is absolutely gorgeous! You have a good eye for design and color. Honestly, you could hire yourself out to do kid's rooms. I'm completely serious.

I've painted some of our room and decided to use wallpaper for the top instead of white paint. I'll post the idea. The paint was supposed to be closer to the bed colour but it doesn't really matter.

I like this! I watch a youtuber in Dubln who does all sorts of DYI's. She done wallpaper in most of her rooms and it's so beautiful! I did wallpaper a million years ago in our little rented house in Alabama and it seems like the UK products now are much easier to apply. I LOVE seeing design that is so different than the house we have now! Give us a pic when you've got one!

I will do. I like wallpaper. It just adds some character.

Character and class I would say! I don't think wall paper is highly popular in the US right now. I think a lot of folks have just started branching out from the farmhouse craze of grays, whites, blacks, and that sort of thing. I could be wrong about that though but that's my impression.
The youtuber from Dublin has a cottage style home. She has lots of gold accents (drawer pulls) and beautiful tea cups that she put in storage cases. SO pretty and so different than what I see in my own home daily. Don't get me wrong, I love our house but it's so good to see something different like your new wallpaper!
