I will do. I like wallpaper. It just adds some character.
Character and class I would say! I don't think wall paper is highly popular in the US right now. I think a lot of folks have just started branching out from the farmhouse craze of grays, whites, blacks, and that sort of thing. I could be wrong about that though but that's my impression.

The youtuber from Dublin has a cottage style home. She has lots of gold accents (drawer pulls) and beautiful tea cups that she put in storage cases. SO pretty and so different than what I see in my own home daily. Don't get me wrong, I love our house but it's so good to see something different like your new wallpaper!
That sounds lovely. I did want this wallpaper at first but I don't like peel and stick paper so spent a while looking for pasting paper. I like the peel and stick design better but I know it will drive me mad.

That one is pretty, too! Same color family and a pleasant pattern. I love seeing a good room refresh! All of it is giving me a kind of Laura Ashley vibe. :-)

I have a little something to share. I saw a tutorial on the tube that I really liked so I'm trying it. It's very different from anything I normally do. I've hesitated to show it because all I've got is design experiments in layout form and design isn't exactly a gift that I have but I'm trying to go out of my comfort zone. It's just small layouts and none of it is glued down. Just layouts of paper. So...these are going to be magnetic bookmarks that clamp over a book page with tiny magnets inside. I've seen plenty of magnetic bookmarks but not this kind. I think this way of doing them is so pretty. I really don't make anything that I would describe as pretty so...out of my comfort zone.

Me playing with paper...Most of these are crooked because not glued down. They are made with cutting dies (metal shapes you run through a machine that cut through paper) and manufactured die cut ephemera which are the little pieces of flowers and words. I use a manual machine. I'm fast learning that cutting dies are addictive. I've already got a couple more cutting dies on the way. 8-)

These are beautiful. I thought they were greetings cards at first but bookmarks, even cuter. The wildflowers one made me think of my daughter lol.

They're pretty, right? In inches they are about 3.5"x 4.5". They end up being 3 layers. 1. Cardstock base (like the purple lacey part you see), 2. Cardstock or paper background (like the plaid part) and 3. the middle layer (it shows in the first pic) is solid cardstock that makes the hinge part that lets them fold over the book page. Inside is a tiny hidden magnetic closure. Also not in the pics because those are just layouts I'm playing with. You can put a lacey bit across the top or not at all depending on how you design it. I think I'll do it different ways. I have everything to make them I just haven't finished one yet.

It's given me something new and easy to do when I'm having a hard day or it's snowing. Supposed to snow here for the next 2-3 days. I'm planning to start finishing some of them. It's so nice to try something new and different!

She really does belong among the wildflowers I think! Feel free to steal that quote! <3

They look so much bigger in the photos. They are very cool.

The wallpaper I ordered was damaged in transit so they are sending more out to me. Had an inspection today and I was worried but she was lovely and said we've looked after the house and we are good tenants. The best thing is I said about having the sofa removed so we can have our own and we will get it serviced and she said she is pretty sure we can have it removed and not need to service it but she's going to check. Would be amazing to not have to worry about the kids damaging it. All I do is worry about that thing. Still waiting for the plumber. Got a leaky pipe.

So when you have an inspection do you have advanced notice or does the inspector come unannounced? Also if you need a plumber do you pay that or is that provided for? (You don't need to post personal details about your arrangement or circumstances!) I can understand what you mean about having your own sofa. Our first apartment we rented was also furnished. We literally owned nothing except for a stereo and our clothes at first! We paid extra each month for the furniture. So if we'd had children at the time, I would be worried about the condition of the furniture as well. When children are young they need to move and a sofa is so good for bouncing! Also there could be food spills. I absolutely get where you're coming from! 8-)

Too bad on the damaged wallpaper. I don't know about you but when I get the urge to tackle a project I want to start right away! But...it's coming so you get a little extra time to think about anything else you want to do in your room! ;)

I knew this would happen. I said it was addictive and now I'm totally in the tank for cutting dies. Just got in one new set yesterday and 3 more are coming. I don't see any others I want at the moment. :?

Here's a pic of what you can make with the one I just got. This is from the AD, not what I made myself. They are meant to look like sealing wax impressions if you know what thoses are. Back in the day I used sealing wax on my letters. I think I still have the stamp for that, too. :)

Here's a pic I took when I removed them from the package. ALL those little pieces snip apart and can be used layered or as single embellishments on any project like the magnetic bookmarks. You can make up to 3 layers to give them depth as shown in the color photo from the advert.

I absolutely love using these! It's non-messy, relaxing, inexpensive, you can use up scraps down to the tiniest little piece, you can mix and match between multiple types of projects, clean up is easy--it's just paper--and it's just so nice to do when it snows!

Colour match is pretty amazing. I was expecting more of a royal blue tone on the wallpaper.

Jersey Girl, I wrote a reply twice and lost it twice lol. I'll write again later once everything is settled.

On my screen the wall color looks like a grayish blue. I'm sure the color looks different in real life but the wallpaper looks like a definite match!! Well done!!
