Are you a hugger or non-hugger?

I think some of us are natural huggers, like we hug our loved ones and friends, while others are not huggers. I’m talking like not in a creepy way hug. Sometimes people just seem like they need a hug from someone. Some folks seem like they aren’t into getting a hug from a friend or acquaintance whatsoever. Granted the one arm hug around the shoulder is more appropriate in some instances, rather than the two arm hug. However, I could see some people as a two arm pick you up off the ground hugger.
Just curious as to how people embrace this subject— pun intended.

Hugging wasn’t a thing ‘till I married Kamaʻāina.

I think Mr. Nobody would answer much like you did.

Hmm...I hug all my people. I mean my people-people. Everyone else it depends on the height differential.
Walk a mile in my size 5's folks!

I said no because either overwhelms me hugging adults but I'll do it if someone comes to hug me so I don't offend. And I hug my kids a lot. Littlest one is a huge hugger and I do feel overwhelmed but I wasn't allowed hugs as a kid so I make a point of sucking it up when it gets too much. Jamie likes hugs and I'll hug him as to not upset him but I can feel myself feel like I'm being suffocated when he keeps hugging.
Edit: I can handle greetings. If it's a quick physical contact and then move away but when people you are greeting don't let go and I'm there thinking is it time to let go? Just pat their back because I don't know what to do now that it's reaching the awkward zone lol.

Some of us are mother-huggers

I love hugs but I very rarely give them.

Please don't let me be the only one that finds hugging difficult.
When I was a kid, whenever I went to hug my mum goodnight my dad would be like, "are your trying to crawl back up the hole you came from?" He'd get angry so I'd run to my mum and tap my head on hers then run upstairs to bed. I don't even know if my brothers got hugs. I was always sent up before them. Even now I will still touch my mum's head with mine before going to bed if we are staying in the same house.

I would have selected an option between the two if it was available. I feel awkward hugging people I don’t know well, especially if they are the opposite sex. My family didn’t hug much growing up.
