I'll put that in my next poll. "Critical Angry Exmormon Piles of Crap?" the new hip??

I chose Mormon, although sometimes I feel like an Apologist here.

Vote whatever you want or you feel your closest too. I'd make more detailed choices, but it quickly ends up with about 10 or 15 choices. Thanks for the vote.

Frankly I'm suprised at the number of Mormons. I thought it would be a ton of exmos and critics. This poll may actually help the site beyond just informing me.

Well, I am, I guess, just an ex-mormon, resigned and all, though sometimes a critic with Mormons who can't restrain themselves. Otherwise, just a bit grumpy sometimes, but not a critic.

I think some of the Mormons here can attest to the above. I have had great chats with liz and harmony, completely peaceful, fun and informative (By the way, we should do that threesome again, gals, in the near future, no?)

I consider myself somewhere between Mormon and Apologist. I like asking some hard questions, but I enjoy defending the church and make it a point to do so.

I hope these cover all the bases.

Apologist-active defender of church

Mormon-member but just looking at the arguments/debates

Investigator-investigating Mormonism

Exmormon-exmember but just looking at arguments/debates

Critic-active critic of church

I don't really consider myself any of these, though I guess the closest would be investigator.

I am a member of the Disciples of Christ denomination, and am here to understand the discussions in Mormonism as I have a Mormon wife.

No, I do not believe any of the Mormon story. It is a good story, has lots of intriguing events that happen, but, as far as a TRUE story, not possible. Joseph Smith, in my opinion, based on his own history, has no credibility, and the book itself has far too many anachronisms, and just plain made up stuff to be believed.

I hope this doesn't come across as condescending, but I actually fell sorry for most of the Mormons I meet. They are such nice people, and help others in need, etc., but I just think they are misguided.

For the record, I don't believe parts of the Bible either. I think a lot of it is allegorical, and I think some of the history was probably embellished.

I DO believe that God is greater, more magnificient, more powerful, and more awesome that any of us can even imagine.

I really think we're ALL going to be surprised.

A friend of mine put it this way:
We all have our view of God, and it can fit on the end of a pin.
Now imagine holding that pin against the side of the sun.
That's what our limited view of God is really like, and there's NO way we can see the big picture.
