Somewhere wrapped up in what I said is evil being eradicated and a time where evil and goodness will no longer dwell together, where holiness will reign. I'm not sure I can articulate that at this time, however.Shulem wrote: ↑Thu May 26, 2022 4:15 pm
It's not necessary to beat, maim, and torture a person to death in order to work up the courage to forgive someone for forgiveness sake. As a father myself, when one of my children apologized that was good enough. I didn't go and tell them I needed to take a belt to their sibling in order to forgive them. Forgiveness is all about being sorry and making changes. It's not about a spilling blood and torture. You don't have to do that to forgive. I find the biblical God to be a person who is cruel and vindictive. I totally reject the biblical God. I'm above that! I am better than he is and my ways are higher.

Good and evil will always be with us. That is the nature of the planet. What is important is that man learns to control the evil nature and work to become better. What is holy? I don't care what holy is. It seems every religion has their own ideas of what holy is. Could be taking off your shoes and bowing down to a burning bush?
Being true to ourselves and learning to love is all that matters. All the religious dogma means nothing other than a set of rules written by churches who want your donations. I'll keep my money! The church won't get another red cent from me. I see what they did with my money, hording it up and providing church leaders with all manner of rich benefits as they are paid to preach.

Church leaders used to teach that if you were born black it was because you were less valiant in the premortal existence. But if you were born white, especially in America, you were extra special. And if you were born in Utah, you were extra, extra special.
I do not believe Church leaders then or now.

We see the virtue of JOSEPH as he lusted over 14 year old girls and demanded that he marry them. Isn't that so? A grown man in his 30's lusting over little girls. What is so virtuous in that? Where is the self-control?

The purpose and plan for me is whatever I purpose and whatever I plan. I am in control of my own life and destiny. So the purpose is whatever I purpose and I plan whatever I desire.
Everyone can do this for themselves.

That's fine by me. Talking to you is like talking to a brick wall, if you don't mind me saying. Your responses are pretty much meaningless and your complaints are unwarranted.
I will continue to post as much as I want and readers can judge for themselves.
At this point, I prefer not to converse with Elizabeth because it's a waste of time. But I will happily posts and add whatever I feel is appropriate to the thread.

for what it's worth, I am speaking of a different church than Elizabeth, but I realize it may be all the same to you, and I respect that.Shulem wrote: ↑Thu May 26, 2022 5:51 pm
