No you don't. And Bart Ehrman can show where several books of the New Testament are forgeries.

So not only do you not understand science, you don't know anything about your Bible either. Ignorance is bliss, right? :wink:

TRUTH as produced by a convict using a mail order house (excuse me, "UNIVERSITY") operated out of this shed in Colorado. What about all of the Christians working in real universities with actual educations who didn't have to be imprisoned for being slimeballs? No TRUTH there, eh?

Can't do the time, don't do the crime. Don't despair, there are lots of Christians in prison. Imagine that. :wink:

Nice university you've got there. Do you have your PhD yet?

Mark 12:1-44

He began yo tell a parable. “A man planted a vineyard, and established a hedge surrounding it, and excavated a pit for the wine-press, and constructed a tower, and rented it to vine-dressers, and went to a far country.

At harvest time he sent a servant to the vine-dressers to receive from them some of the yield of the vineyard.

But they grabbed him and beat him and sent him away without anything.

Then he sent another servant to them. They threw stones at him, and hit him in the head, and sent him away manhandled.

Still the man sent another, and they murdered him. And there were many others. Some they beat, and some they murdered.

Having still his one well-beloved son, he sent him last to them, saying, ‘They will respect my son.’

However, those vine-dressers said among themselves, ‘This is the heir. Come, let us murder him, and the inheritance will be ours.’

So they took him and murdered him and threw him outside of the vineyard.

“What will the owner of the vineyard do? He will come and kill the vine-dressers and give the vineyard to others.

Have you not read this Scripture: ‘The stone which the builders rejected has become the foundation. This was the Lord’s doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes’?”

Now the rulers wanted to seize Jesus, but feared the people, for they knew that He had spoken the parable against them. So they left Him and went away.

They sent to Him some Pharisees and some Herodians to trap Him in His words.

When they came to Him, they said, “Teacher, we know that You are true and concerned by no man. For You do not regard the status of men, but truthfully teach God's way. Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar, or not?

Should we pay, or should we not pay?”

But He, knowing their hypocrisy, said to them, “Why test Me? Bring Me a denarius that I may look at it.”

They had on. And He said to them, “Whose picture and inscription is this?”

They said to Him, “Caesar’s.”

Then Jesus answered them, “Give Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.”

And they were amazed at Him!

Then the Sadducees, who believed there was no resurrection, came to Him, saying,

“Teacher, Moses wrote for us that if a man’s brother dies and leaves a widow, but has no children, that a brother must take the wife and beget children for his dead brother.

Now there were 7 brothers. The 1st took a wife, and when he died, he left no children.

The 2nd took her and died, leaving no children, and the 3rd likewise.

The seven had her and left no children. Last of all, the woman died too.

In the resurrection, when they rise, whose wife is she? For the 7 had her as wife.”

Jesus answered them, “Do you are in error, because you realize neither the Scriptures nor the power of God?

When people rise from the dead, they don't marry nor is there marriage. Everyone is like angels in heaven.

Now concerning the dead rising, have you not read in the book of Moses, including the account about the bush, how God spoke to him, saying, ‘I am the God of Abraham and the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob’?

God is not the God of dead people, but the God of the living. You are very mistaken.”

One of the scribes came and heard them reasoning together. Perceiving that Jesus had answered them well, he asked Him, “Which is the first commandment of all?”

Jesus answered him, “The first of all the commandments is, ‘Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God is only one Lord.

You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and might.’This is the commandment.

The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment more important than these.”

The scribe said to Him, “Well said, Teacher. You have spoken the truth, that there is one God and there is not any other but Him.

To love Him with all the heart, understanding, and soul, and strength, and to love one’s neighbor as oneself, is more than all burnt offerings and sacrifices.”

When Jesus saw that he answered wisely, He said to him, “You are not distant from the kingdom of God.” After that, no one dared to ask Him another question.

While Jesus taught in the temple, He said, “How can the scribes say that Christ is the Son of David?

David himself, speaking by the Holy Spirit, declared:

‘The Yahweh said to My Adonai, “Sit at My right hand, until I put Your enemies under Your feet.”

David himself calls Him ‘Lord.’ How then is He his Son?”

And the large crowd heard him gladly.

Jesus said to them in His teaching, “Beware of the scribes, who love to go about in fancy duds and love name dropping in the marketplaces,

and the prominent seats in the synagogues, and the places of honor at banquets,

who devour widows’ houses and for a pretense make long prayers. They will receive greater condemnation.”

Jesus sat opposite the treasury and observed how the people put money into the treasury. Many who were rich put in much.

But a certain poor widow came and put in two mites, which make a farthing.

Jesus called His disciples to Him and said to them, “Honestly I tell you, this poor widow has given more than all those who are contributing to the treasury.

They all contributed out of their excess. But she i poverty, put in all that she had, her entire livelihood.”

Young's Literal Translation (YLT)

1 And he began to speak to them in similes: `A man planted a vineyard, and put a hedge around, and digged an under-winevat, and built a tower, and gave it out to husbandmen, and went abroad;

2 and he sent unto the husbandmen at the due time a servant, that from the husbandmen he may receive from the fruit of the vineyard,

3 and they, having taken him, did severely beat [him], and did send him away empty.

4 `And again he sent unto them another servant, and at that one having cast stones, they wounded [him] in the head, and sent away -- dishonoured.

5 `And again he sent another, and that one they killed; and many others, some beating, and some killing.

6 `Having yet therefore one son -- his beloved -- he sent also him unto them last, saying -- They will reverence my son;

7 and those husbandmen said among themselves -- This is the heir, come, we may kill him, and ours shall be the inheritance;

8 and having taken him, they did kill, and cast [him] forth without the vineyard.

9 `What therefore shall the lord of the vineyard do? he will come and destroy the husbandmen, and will give the vineyard to others.

10 And this Writing did ye not read: A stone that the builders rejected, it did become the head of a corner:

11 from the Lord was this, and it is wonderful in our eyes.'

12 And they were seeking to lay hold on him, and they feared the multitude, for they knew that against them he spake the simile, and having left him, they went away;

13 and they send unto him certain of the Pharisees and of the Herodians, that they may ensnare him in discourse,

14 and they having come, say to him, `Teacher, we have known that thou art true, and thou art not caring for any one, for thou dost not look to the face of men, but in truth the way of God dost teach; is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar or not? may we give, or may we not give?'

15 And he, knowing their hypocrisy, said to them, `Why me do ye tempt? bring me a denary, that I may see;'

16 and they brought, and he saith to them, `Whose [is] this image, and the inscription?' and they said to him, `Caesar's;'

17 and Jesus answering said to them, `Give back the things of Caesar to Caesar, and the things of God to God;' and they did wonder at him.

18 And the Sadducees come unto him, who say there is not a rising again, and they questioned him, saying,

19 `Teacher, Moses wrote to us, that if any one's brother may die, and may leave a wife, and may leave no children, that his brother may take his wife, and raise up seed to his brother.

20 `There were then seven brothers, and the first took a wife, and dying, he left no seed;

21 and the second took her, and died, neither left he seed, and the third in like manner,

22 and the seven took her, and left no seed, last of all died also the woman;

23 in the rising again, then, whenever they may rise, of which of them shall she be wife -- for the seven had her as wife?'

24 And Jesus answering said to them, `Do ye not because of this go astray, not knowing the Writings, nor the power of God?

25 for when they may rise out of the dead, they neither marry nor are they given in marriage, but are as messengers who are in the heavens.

26 `And concerning the dead, that they rise: have ye not read in the Book of Moses (at The Bush), how God spake to him, saying, I [am] the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob;

27 he is not the God of dead men, but a God of living men; ye then go greatly astray.'

28 And one of the scribes having come near, having heard them disputing, knowing that he answered them well, questioned him, `Which is the first command of all?'

29 and Jesus answered him -- `The first of all the commands [is], Hear, O Israel, the Lord is our God, the Lord is one;

30 and thou shalt love the Lord thy God out of all thy heart, and out of thy soul, and out of all thine understanding, and out of all thy strength -- this [is] the first command;

31 and the second [is] like [it], this, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself; -- greater than these there is no other command.'

32 And the scribe said to him, `Well, Teacher, in truth thou hast spoken that there is one God, and there is none other but He;

33 and to love Him out of all the heart, and out of all the understanding, and out of all the soul, and out of all the strength, and to love one's neighbor as one's self, is more than all the whole burnt
offerings and the sacrifices.'

34 And Jesus, having seen him that he answered with understanding, said to him, `Thou art not far from the reign of God;' and no one any more durst question him.

35 And Jesus answering said, teaching in the temple, `How say the scribes that the Christ is son of David?

36 for David himself said in the Holy Spirit, The Lord said to my lord, Sit thou on My right hand, till I place thine enemies -- thy footstool;

37 therefore David himself saith of him Lord, and whence is he his son?' And the great multitude were hearing him gladly,

38 and he was saying to them in his teaching, `Beware of the scribes, who will in long robes to walk, and love salutations in the market-places,

39 and first seats in the synagogues, and first couches in suppers,

40 who are devouring the widows' houses, and for a pretense are making long prayers; these shall receive more abundant judgment.'

41 And Jesus having sat down over-against the treasury, was beholding how the multitude do put brass into the treasury, and many rich were putting in much,

42 and having come, a poor widow did put in two mites, which are a farthing.

43 And having called near his disciples, he saith to them, `Verily I say to you, that this poor widow hath put in more than all those putting into the treasury;

44 for all, out of their abundance, put in, but she, out of her want, all that she had put in -- all her living.'

Jesus was condemned and suffered execution. I follow Him. I consider Creationists ---- but I do not regard them as God. Do you consider evolutionists perfect? I don't think so, yet you do seem to accept them hook, line and sinker. It seems to me that they make far more mistakes and have far more to hide. :ugeek: And actually, I feel you are trying to navigate the subject away from the Bible.

Mark 13:1-37

As Jesus came out of the Temple, one of the disciples said to him, “Look, Rabbi! What huge stones! What magnificent buildings!”

“You see all these great buildings?” Jesus said to him, “They will be totally demolished — not a single stone will be left errect!”

As Jesus was resting on the Mount of Olives opposite the Temple, Peter, James, John and Andrew asked him privately,

“Explain to us, when this will occur? And what sign will appear when all these things are about to transpire?”

Jesus began speaking to them: “Watch out! Don’t let anyone kid you!

Many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am He!’ and they will fool many people.

When you hear the tumult of wars close by and the news of wars far off, don’t become frightened. Such things must happen, but the end is yet to come.

For groups will attack each other, and nations will fight each other, there will be earthquakes in scattered places, there will be famines; this is but the beginning of the ‘birth pains.’

“But you, watch yourselves! They will hand you over to the local Sanhedrins, you will be beaten up in synagogues, and on My account you will stand before governors and kings as witnesses to them.

Additionally, the Good News has to be proclaimed first to all nations.

Now when they arrest you and bring you to trial, don’t fret beforehand about what to say. Rather, say whatever comes to you when the time comes; for it will not be just you speaking, but the Holy Spirit.

Brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child; children will turn against their parents and have them executed;

and everyone will hate you regarding Me. But whoever holds out till the end will be delivered.

“Now when you see the abomination that causes devastation standing where it shouldn't be, that will be the time for those in Judah to run for the hills.

If someone is on the roof, he must not go down and enter his house to take any belongings;

if someone is in the field, he must not return to get his coat.

What a terrible time it will be for pregnant women and nursing mothers!

Pray that it may not happen in winter.

For there will be more terrible trouble at that time than there has ever been from the beginning of creation, when God fabricated the universe, until now; and there will be nothing like it ever again.

In fact, if God had not limited the duration of the trouble, no one would survive; but for the sake of the chosen, those whom He has selected, He has limited it.

“At that point, if anyone says to you, ‘Look! Here’s the Messiah!’ or, ‘See, there he is!’ — don’t believe him!

There will appear false Messiahs and false prophets performing signs and wonders for the purpose, if possible, of misleading the chosen.

But you, watch out! I have warned you beforehand!

In that day, after the previous events,

the sun will darken, the moon will stop shedding light,

the stars from heaven will fall, and the powers in heaven will be disrupted.

Then they will see the Son of Man returning in clouds with tremendous power and glory.

He will send out his angels and gather together his chosen people from the four compass directions, from all areas of the earth to the ends of heaven.

“Now let the fig tree provide an illustration: when its branches begin to sprout and leaves appear, you know that summer is approaching.

In the same way, when you see all these things happening, you are to know that the time is near, right outside the door.

Yes! I tell you that this people will certainly not pass away before all these things occur.

Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never disappear.

However, when that day and hour will come, no one knows — not the angels in heaven, not the Son, only the Father.

Stay alert! Be on your guard! For you do not know when the time will come.

“It’s like a man who travels away from home, puts his servants in charge, each with his own task, and tells the doorkeeper to stay alert.

So stay alert! for you don’t know when the owner of the house will return,

whether it will be evening, midnight, cockcrow or morning — you don’t want him to come suddenly and find you napping!

And what I say to you, I say to everyone: remain watchful!”

Young's Literal Translation (YLT)

1 And as he is going forth out of the temple, one of his disciples saith to him, `Teacher, see! what stones! and what buildings!'

2 and Jesus answering said to him, `Seest thou these great buildings? there may not be left a stone upon a stone, that may not be thrown down.'

3 And as he is sitting at the mount of the Olives, over-against the temple, Peter, and James, and John, and Andrew, were questioning him by himself,

4 `Tell us when these things shall be? and what [is] the sign when all these may be about to be fulfilled?'

5 And Jesus answering them, began to say, `Take heed lest any one may lead you astray,

6 for many shall come in my name, saying -- I am [he], and many they shall lead astray;

7 and when ye may hear of wars and reports of wars, be not troubled, for these behove to be, but the end [is] not yet;

8 for nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles; beginnings of sorrows [are] these.

9 `And take ye heed to yourselves, for they shall deliver you up to sanhedrims, and to synagogues, ye shall be beaten, and before governors and kings ye shall be set for my sake, for a testimony to them;

10 and to all the nations it behoveth first that the good news be proclaimed.

11 `And when they may lead you, delivering up, be not anxious beforehand what ye may speak, nor premeditate, but whatever may be given to you in that hour, that speak ye, for it is not ye who are speaking, but the Holy Spirit.

12 `And brother shall deliver up brother to death, and father child, and children shall rise up against parents, and shall put them to death,

13 and ye shall be hated by all because of my name, but he who hath endured to the end -- he shall be saved.

14 `And when ye may see the abomination of the desolation, that was spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (whoever is reading let him understand), then those in Judea, let them
flee to the mountains;

15 and he upon the house-top, let him not come down to the house, nor come in to take anything out of his house;

16 and he who is in the field, let him not turn to the things behind, to take up his garment.

17 `And wo to those with child, and to those giving suck, in those days;

18 and pray ye that your flight may not be in winter,

19 for those days shall be tribulation, such as hath not been from the beginning of the creation that God created, till now, and may not be;

20 and if the Lord did not shorten the days, no flesh had been saved; but because of the chosen, whom He did choose to Himself, He did shorten the days.

21 `And then, if any may say to you, Lo, here [is] the Christ, or, Lo, there, ye may not believe;

22 for there shall rise false Christs and false prophets, and they shall give signs and wonders, to seduce, if possible, also the chosen;

23 and ye, take heed; lo, I have foretold you all things.

24 `But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light,

25 and the stars of the heaven shall be falling, and the powers that are in the heavens shall be shaken.

26 `And then they shall see the Son of Man coming in clouds with much power and glory,

27 and then he shall send his messengers, and gather together his chosen from the four winds, from the end of the earth unto the end of heaven.

28 `And from the fig-tree learn ye the simile: when the branch may already become tender, and may put forth the leaves, ye know that nigh is the summer;

29 so ye, also, when these ye may see coming to pass, ye know that it is nigh, at the doors.

30 Verily I say to you, that this generation may not pass away till all these things may come to pass;

31 the heaven and the earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

32 `And concerning that day and the hour no one hath known -- not even the messengers who are in the heaven, not even the Son -- except the Father.

33 Take heed, watch and pray, for ye have not known when the time is;

34 as a man who is gone abroad, having left his house, and given to his servants the authority, and to each one his work, did command also the porter that he may watch;

35 watch ye, therefore, for ye have not known when the lord of the house doth come, at even, or at midnight, or at cock-crowing, or at the morning;

36 lest, having come suddenly, he may find you sleeping;

37 and what I say to you, I say to all, Watch.'

Kolob’s set time is “one thousand years according to the time appointed unto that whereon thou standest” (Abraham 3:4). I take this as a round number. - Gee
