And understood in context! 4) We who profess Christ should not concern ourselves with only our needs/wants, but be considerate of others. This is the way Jesus behaved. Christ being God didn't worry about attaining godhood. Christ set His supreme control aside and became a mere human --- though perfect in every way. He listened to every instruction from the Father, even to give up His life on the cross. Because of this the Father and Holy Spirt now exalt Him back to the highest position...
And in his human incarnation, Little Nipper: "...the child grew and became strong: he was filled with wisdsom, and the grace of God was upon him." Luke 2: 40 NIV

Christ did not have to worry about "attaining" it, did He? "Perfect" in every way but you claim He was "frail" and needed "maturing"
you still have not provided the justification for your "frailties" and "maturing" and that "God" ever revealed unto Him that which He did not already know.

according to Mittens, you and Nipper are Heretics...
Subordinationism - The Son is lesser than the Father in essence and or attributes. <- exemplified by Nipper stating that Christ needed "instruction" from the Father, needed "maturity" Docetism - Jesus was divine, but only seemed to be human. <- exemplified by taking on the "frailties of man" Kenosis - Jesus gave up some divine attributes while on earth. <- exemplified by Nipper's assertion that "Christ set His supreme control aside and became a mere human" Nestorianism - Jesus was two persons <- what you surely must believe given the above

Like my OP said Mormons do not understand the Trinity, The difference between the Creedal Evangelican and Mormonism is we believe what Joseph Smith Jr taught before he became a polythiest
2 Nephi 31: 21 And now, behold, my beloved brethren, this is the way; and there is none other way nor name given under heaven whereby man can be saved in the kingdom of God. And now, behold, this is the doctrine of Christ, and the only and true doctrine of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, which is one God, without end. Amen.
Alma 11: 44 Now, this restoration shall come to all, both old and young, both bond and free, both male and female, both the wicked and the righteous; and even there shall not so much as a hair of their heads be lost; but everything shall be restored to its perfect frame, as it is now, or in the body, and shall be brought and be arraigned before the bar of Christ the Son, and God the Father, and the Holy Spirit, which is one Eternal God, to be judged according to their works, whether they be good or whether they be evil.
Mormon 7: 7 And he hath brought to pass the redemption of the world, whereby he that is found guiltless before him at the judgment day hath it given unto him to dwell in the presence of God in his kingdom, to sing ceaseless praises with the choirs above, unto the Father, and unto the Son, and unto the Holy Ghost, which are one God, in a state of happiness which hath no end.
The Testimony of Three Witnesses And the honor be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost, which is one God. Amen. Oliver Cowdery David Whitmer Martin Harris
Doctrine and Covenants 20 : 28 Which Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are one God, infinite and eternal, without end. Amen.
Then Joseph Smith Jr became a Polythiest and taught this
Joseph Smith said the Trinity is three gods. "I have always declared God to be a distinct personage, Jesus Christ a separate and distinct personage from God the Father, and the Holy Ghost was a distinct personage and a Spirit: and these three constitute three distinct personages and three Gods," (Teachings of Prophet Joseph Smith, p. 370)
So Creedal Evangelics say three separate and Distinct persons represent the One God while Mormons say three distinct personages and three Gods, this is the most precise and accurate definition I can give. Is even more accurate than Rush Limbaugh who is 99.8 % accurate
Justice = Getting what you deserve Mercy = Not getting what you deserve Grace = Getting what you can never deserve
Mittens, what appears to be beyond your capacity to understand is the fact THAT WHEN Mormons STATE "ONE GOD" WE ARE REFERRING TO THE GODHEAD (WHICH CONSISTS OF THREE DISTINCT GODS) WHICH WE WORSHIP AS ONE GOD!!! WHY IS IT THAT YOU SEEM TO DUMB (FOR A LACK OF A BETTER WORD) TO UNDERSTAND THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!

Isn't that what I said  However that is not what Joseph Smith Jr taught before he formulated his Polythiestic error
Justice = Getting what you deserve Mercy = Not getting what you deserve Grace = Getting what you can never deserve
That is an incorrect assumption on your part. It is true that Joseph Smith learned things one step at a time (as we all do), however, he knew about the True doctrine of the Godhead from the time of the first vision.
I think this discussion is going round in circles with part of the problem being the use of certain words and different understanding of those words. An additional problem in the recent discussion is that when referring to Southern Baptists there is no one church as such but a large number of totally independent Baptist churches that choose to affiliate with a larger body termed as a Convention, or assemby of baptists. Each individual Baptist church subscribes to the overall, shared belief on doctrine but no one has authority over how that is taught and worded within that individual church. The Pastor and the Board of Deacons are the presiding authority in each freely operating SB church as I understand it and have experienced it.
If it helps www.bpnews.net currently says this on SBC Trinity doctrine as its stand on the issue: "The doctrine of the Trinity -- embraced by all three historical branches of Christianity -- holds that God is three persons, each person is distinct, each person is fully God, and that there is one God."
I don't personally see that as different from the traditional understanding though is is conveyed in more modern language. The major difference between this and the Mormon Godhead as I understand it is that Mormonism declares that each person of the Godhead is separate because they are separate Gods united in every way except form.
