Was banned from MA&DB......

For simply asking someone to leave me alone, to stop creating problems and being so petty.

I had responded to a claim the OP made in another post of his thread.
Someone then asked me to stop derailing the thread.
I simply responded to something someone said, that is hardly "derailing" at least to any degree that I need to be chastised for it.
So, I simply responded to the person in question to leave me alone, that I'm perfectly allowed to comment on something someone says, and people are still free to continue in the same subject matter, and to stop being petty.

That's all that happened..... And yet, I was banned for it, as if I'm some "big trouble maker" of the forum. And the other person who caused the problem was entirely left alone.

When MAD&D used to be FAIR, it actually WAS FAIR...... Now it's clearly a fascist organization.
I don't care the excuse.... They have simply gone too far.
I see good and intelligent and valuable contributers being banned over and over again.
They make VERY MINOR criticisms, yet they are being treated as if they are bringing down the discussion.

I mean, look at what I was banned for.... How is there ANY excuse for that???
I don't like to be critical of other LDS, but they have become just like most anti-mormon and Christian boards, who ban anyone for any sort of "implied" negativity, not for doing something that's low class and uncalled for.

Frankly, I don't want to post much here..... I would rather post at MAD&D where it's more moral and quality discussion and respectability. The way they are going, they might as well make the board an "elitist" board by invitation only. If they are going to ban people for saying anything at all remotely negative like my above statement, then they might as well not be in the game.

It may be a game to them, but it's wrong to treat people that way.... We are human beings, not simply names in the void. They should know better, especially with how anti-mormons and other Christians generally have treated us. Now they are acting EXACTLY like them.

What's worse is my comment was meant to ask the guy to stop causing problems (so I wouldn't get banned)...... and I get banned for it!!!

Frankly, I don't want to post much here..... I would rather post at MAD&D where it's more moral and quality discussion and respectability.

This board may not have that civility thing down pat, but it does have that freedom of thought and speech thing going on. Try to look through the gruffer veneer of this board and you will find some nice people.

by the way, preaching at MD&D is like banging your head on the Wailing Wall thinking God will hear you knocking.

I mean, I had enough of the darkness when I was an anti-mormon myself.
I don't need to keep wading in it. MA&DB was a nice oasis in the sewer of internet anti-mormonism. Where one could be critical of anti-mormonism without having to wade in the junk that comes with it most of the time, like here.

Now my own fellow Mormons have ruined it. There's one thing I hate more than anti-mormons, and that's Mormons who do evil, and think they are doing good, who act like elitists, etc.

As to head banging.... The Apologist doesn't do what he does for the sake of anti-mormons, it's for those who are honestly seeking and wanting to know and understand the whole truth. He knows he doesn't get anywhere with anti-mormons. There are still critics and anti-mormons there, and there will always be more that come in, so no, there is really no head banging occurring.

When I mentioned head banging I was thinking about your comment of MD&D being a fascist organization. They may be overly controlling, but listening to a complaint about too much control may only strengthen their resolve to crank up the voltage on the remaining prisoners.

Actually, I think the MD&D moderators efforts to keep Kevin's thread on track is a commendable one. The usual modus operandi of letting Mormon apologists bombard anyone suspected of harboring a counter opinion with a barrage of personal attacks is not the stuff of an endearing message board. Hope they keep up the good work. Maybe one day even Pahoran will be forced to join the banished flotsam in what you call the sewer of anti-mormonism. This is a good place to repent.

They ban if you respond to unacceptable behavior in this case When debating with DCP, or Schryver, or Juliann, or any other big wig on that board, you must respond only to the substance of their posts. When you express opposition to a theory of theirs, their replies become very icy and intended to get you to ever so slightly lose control just enough so they can ban you. When that happens, the illusion of substance in their posts becomes so great that you have to work very hard to keep them on topic. When they threaten to call a mod or say you're off topic etc., you must ignore that and not respond to it in the least and remain on topic because you know you are.

I know this well. I've survived many rounds with most of them in this fashion. To them, you are an intruder in that particular thread. They live in an ivory tower and will brook no dissent or "amateurs" making fools of themselves at their party. They think they know what is best for you and their "scholarship" is second to none. Yet it is challenging and fun to knock over their toys every once in a while. Good luck if you're depending on luck (as my favorite Statics/Dynamics engineering prof used to say before a test).

I noticed Minos banned a few others during that thread....seems a little heavy handed. However, i am surprised that Xander did not get shown the door, many warnings were issued and his posts were easily more violating....hmmm
