What is known about Ancient Egyptian food?
Well, they had beer, which is alright with me. :D

Beer is good!

They also had wine, bread, figs, dates, grapes, various legumes, cucumbers, cabbages and lettuce. They ate fish and spiced their food with fennel, cumin (one of my favorites, try toasting it whole then grinding it), dill and coriander. I'm guessing there's a lot more that we don't know about what they ate, but still sounds like a proto cuisine for what they eat there now.
