Thou shalt not kill.

WE don't need the bible to tell us this basic principle of humanity. It's a no brainer and it's the law of every country and nation. So, the bible is not the author of this great principle found within every civilization.

Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.

Does that mean we shouldn't tell lies? What is an example of a lie? How about this:

Joseph Smith wrote:Fig. 2. King Pharaoh, whose name is given in the characters above his head.

Oh, that's King Pharaoh? What's the name written above his head?

Elder McConkie:

"Being subject to law, and having their agency, all the spirits of men, while yet in the Eternal Presence, developed aptitudes, talents, capacities, and abilities of every sort, kind, and degree. During the long expanse of life which then was, an infinite variety of talents and abilities came into being. As the ages rolled, no two spirits remained alike. Mozart became a musician; Einstein centered his interest in mathematics; Michelangelo turned his attention to painting. Cain, was a liar, a schemer, a rebel who maintained a close affinity to Lucifer."

And the poor little black man in Facsimile No. 3 whose nose was hacked off was a slave in earth life because he was less valiant in the preexistence. Thus, he can't hold the priesthood like the white people can. He remains a servant because he was born black.

Yeah, that has ever been Mormon doctrine. White Mormons thought they were better than the black Gentiles. Isn't that right, Elizabeth?

To be born black was a curse.

The different degrees of righteousness in the Pre-Mortal Existence reflect in the circumstances of birth in this mortal world. The principle of which is also seen in the more extreme where Lucifer and his followers are not even given the privilege of a mortal body.

You're preaching OLD Mormonism, Elizabeth. The Church has since moved on and does not reflect what you're saying. That is in the past. The Church has moved on and disavows those earlier teachings.

Race and the Priesthood wrote:Today, the Church disavows the theories advanced in the past that black skin is a sign of divine disfavor or curse, or that it reflects unrighteous actions in a premortal life; that mixed-race marriages are a sin; or that blacks or people of any other race or ethnicity are inferior in any way to anyone else.

Doctrine that spirits who were more righteous in heaven were thus born white is wrong. So also, doctrine that spirits in heaven who were less valiant were born black has also been disavowed.

It seems that our mysterious female poster is not up to speed with the changing world of Mormonism.

D&C 93 tells us that we existed as intellgences prior to our birth as the spirit children of our Father in heaven. It also tells us that intelligence was not created or made and neither indeed can be. In other words, our intelligence is eternal. We have always existed as an intelligence and there never was a time ( or non time) when our intelligence did not exist. Somehow in eternity past is was either known or learned that combining our intelligence with matter gives us more joy and happiness. D&C 93:33 tells us that the combination of spirit with matter gives us a happier state of existence. We don't have the history but God himself was once an intelligence and took on spirit matter to become a spirit with a spirit body. According to scripture, all spirit is matter but just more pure or fine than the matter we experience in mortal life (D&C 131:7). Evidently taking on a more course form of matter known as flesh and bones gives us an even greater degree of happiness and joy. The resurrection will bring about an immortal combining of our spirit to our bodies to be eternal. This pathway of progression is believed to be how all mankind progress in eternity. It is believed that this is the pathway also of God and Jesus Christ. So, where did God come from? He, like we have always existed and we take on elements to our intelligence to gain a greater joyful existence.

We know that gender was set in the premortal world. “The spirit and the body are the soul of man” (D&C 88:15).

We all were in the beginning either a male or female intelligence. Our intelligence was born into either a male or female Spiritual body, which grew to maturity in our Pre Mortal Existence. We came to this earth for our Spiritual body to receive a mortal body, again either male or female.. as we were from the beginning, and will be through the eternities. There is not now, nor ever was, any choice nor negotiation as to gender.
