Re: Race and the Priesthood

Post by Shulem »

The fictitious books comprising the Pearl of Great Price work together in combination to justify racial discrimination against black people wherein they were branded as a despised people. The dark skin served as a curse in marking those people and because of it the Negroes were recognized as being from a cursed lineage having descended from Cain. Because of their race they were denied the teachings of the white man’s gospel and barred from the priesthood after the order of Shem, both before and after the flood:

  • Moses 7:8 For behold, the Lord shall curse the land with much heat, and the barrenness thereof shall go forth forever; and there was a blackness came upon all the children of Canaan, that they were despised among all people.
  • Moses 7:12 And it came to pass that Enoch continued to call upon all the people, save it were the people of Canaan, to repent;
  • Moses 7:22 And Enoch also beheld the residue of the people which were the sons of Adam; and they were a mixture of all the seed of Adam save it was the seed of Cain, for the seed of Cain were black, and had not place among them.
  • Abraham 1:21-24 Now this king of Egypt was a descendant from the loins of Ham, and was a partaker of the blood of the Canaanites by birth. From this descent sprang all the Egyptians, and thus the blood of the Canaanites was preserved in the land. The land of Egypt being first discovered by a woman, who was the daughter of Ham, and the daughter of Egyptus, which in the Chaldean signifies Egypt, which signifies that which is forbidden; When this woman discovered the land it was under water, who afterward settled her sons in it; and thus, from Ham, sprang that race which preserved the curse in the land.
  • Abraham 1:26 Pharaoh, being a righteous man, established his kingdom and judged his people wisely and justly all his days, seeking earnestly to imitate that order established by the fathers in the first generations, in the days of the first patriarchal reign, even in the reign of Adam, and also of Noah, his father, who blessed him with the blessings of the earth, and with the blessings of wisdom, but cursed him as pertaining to the Priesthood.
  • Abraham 1:27 Now, Pharaoh being of that lineage by which he could not have the right of Priesthood, notwithstanding the Pharaohs would fain claim it from Noah, through Ham, therefore my father was led away by their idolatry;

President David O. McKay served as Church President for 20 years (April 9, 1951 – January 18, 1970) and yet he never felt impressed or moved by the Holy Spirit to lift the priesthood ban and remove the curse from Mormon doctrine, policy, and practice. The spirit of racism in the Mormon Church would prevail until 1978 when pressure upon Church President Spencer W. Kimball reached the breaking point. Nonetheless, all of the previous Church Presidents, including McKay had a spirit of racism in their hearts and minds and refused to recognize that perhaps God felt otherwise:

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints - Race and the Priesthood wrote: Nevertheless, given the long history of withholding the priesthood from men of black African descent, Church leaders believed that a revelation from God was needed to alter the policy, and they made ongoing efforts to understand what should be done. After praying for guidance, President McKay did not feel impressed to lift the ban.

Joseph made up some pretty hurtful and wicked stuff, eh? Had Joseph not written this stuff, the attitudes of the Saints would be much improved. Maybe we wouldn't even have our Deseret Nazis subgroup of Mormons.

Moksha,

Mormon doctrine is Mormon doctrine and white supremacy was indeed a Mormon trademark:

General Conference, October 1947, PRESIDENT GEORGE F. RICHARDS, President of the Council of the Twelve Apostles wrote:
We have many object lessons given us in the scriptures from which to profit. In the council in heaven, before the world was, two courses were placed before us; that proposed by the Firstborn, and the other by Lucifer; the one leading unto everlasting life, the other to everlasting disappointment. We had definitely decided before coming to earth which course to follow.

The Negro race have been forbidden the priesthood, and the higher temple blessings, presumably because of their not having been valiant while in the spirit. It does not pay to be anything but valiant.

And the very next speaker to follow President Richards was newly called elder Bruce R. McConkie who stated the following:

General Conference, October 1947, ELDER BRUCE R. McCONKIE, Of the First Council of the Seventy wrote:
There is nothing about the Church, there is no doctrine, no procedure or no ordinance, no law or principle, that is not in complete harmony with the scriptures and with reason. We can establish that everything we have is reasonable and scriptural and that we are in whole accord with the identical Church of Christ that was set up two thousand years ago.

Thus, the priesthood ban was the will of God and was SCRIPTURAL and nobody in the Church would dare say otherwise on pain of excommunication!

Isn’t that right, Philo? ;)

Marcus,

I trust you’re having fun watching me dismantle the Book of Abraham in which the Catalyst Theory will be completely destroyed by the time I’m done with it! The loss of John Gee’s “decent second choice” will force him to have to pick the third: It’s a fraud!

Just think how many testimonies will be broken on account of this message board and what we are accomplishing here!

Shulem has the Spirit

Post by Shulem »

How can apologists claim to be inspired and moved upon by the Holy Spirit while studying the Book of Abraham when all along they never reasoned through the Spirit that the snout and headcloth were hacked out of the original design carved on the lead plate? Where was the so-called Holy Ghost? Hugh Nibley was at a loss and led people to believe that the depiction on the printed Facsimile was original to the scene on the lost papyrus regardless of all evidence suggesting otherwise. The Spiritless Mormon scholars (Gee, Muhlestein, Smoot, Thompson, and Rhodes) are devoid of power and influence they claim to have from a Holy Ghost because they can’t think or see straight. They do not have the Spirit! They have the spirit of a lie dwelling in their minds and hearts.

It wasn’t until a Friday night with an alcoholic drink in hand on December 1st, 2017 that Book of Abraham critic Paul Osborne was moved upon by the Spirit of power to reveal to the world that the snout was in fact original to the papyrus and lead plate and that it was later removed for publication.

Thus, the apostate has the Spirit, not the apologists!

What would John say?

Post by Shulem »

QUESTION:

John,

How would you feel if someone took the picture below and hacked off your nose and wrote a caption on your tie attributing your identity as: This is Boo-boo a convicted killer awaiting punishment on death row?

Would you object to that kind of treatment and name-calling?

[ ] Yes
[ ] No

Figure 6 isn’t holding anyone’s hand and doesn’t have the “shroud” of Anubis on the back of the head covering the neck to the shoulder, nor the elliptical eyes of Anubis.

Are you now going to claim the shroud of Anubis was also removed and the eye also altered?
