Michelangelo's statue David can be shown in Salt Lake if you cover its nakedness with LDS garments and the statue keeps them on day and night.

Here is a brief documentary on Utah's strangeness:

That was an interesting documentary. I'd never seen Utah politics explained in that manner.

In a place before this time
We all pledged with heart and mind
That our lives upon this earth
Would reflect our royal birth

So we'll stand up and walk away
From the Evil of Our day
We'll stand up with courage, might
And choose the right

Excerpt from song Rising Generation Janice Kapp Perry and Joy Saunders Lundberg

-------------

As part of a church choir I sang the above as a teen and it came back to my mind yesterday. Was thinking how nice to be taught that we made promises before we were born and now we will be accountable to them.

Why are these prohibitions from the Heaven War so strange?
What's more goofy to me is the idea of a "war in heaven" in the first place. (Rev 12:7-10.) Imagine a bunch "spirits" or "angels" waging all out war against Big Daddy Most High who allegedly possesses all power in the universe. The rebels must have either been insane - which absolves them of any guilt - or Big Daddy Most High have some sort of "achilles heel" that the rebels reckoned they could exploit to take Big Daddy down.

Or it's just a fairy tale, made up by somebody who didn't think it through.
Or the author doesn't believe in metaphysics, just as the LDS don't. God has limits, he can't make a burrito so hot that he can't eat it.
