Mormon Trumpism

. . . . hmmm . . .

Kish,

This sick propaganda reeks of Trumpism -- a would-be king and dictator who has set himself up above the Constitution and The People. In a way, Mormonism is mirroring this! Oaks is a deranged and deluded man who really thinks he’s a prophet of God. He is beyond help. The only thing that can free his deranged mind is death itself which will come soon.

At first glance while googling about, I thought it was an anti-Mormon production that photoshopped Oaks having a ridiculous statue behind him and making a mockery of the resurrection. I thought it was propaganda produced to make fun of the church! I couldn’t believe my eyes and had to confirm it was from the church. The church has sunk to new lows and for me this was a significant jump. Former presidents of the Church would have never approved this kind of propaganda using an idol or graven image -- they would have been horrified. Thus we see how Mormonism is sinking into uncharted waters and it’s only going to get worse because the false prophecy of the second coming of Jesus will never happen and this will frustrate the church.
Yeah, something about it seems “off.” It’s not a good look. First off, I am not a big fan of the Christus statue. This scene with the toy Christus reminds me of the Stonehenge scene in Spinal Tap.

toy Christus

It is a toy. Look at the toy statue of GOD! But isn't God infinitely bigger than a toy statue? But then look at the man (Oaks) with his giant sized ego that thinks he's above all and more important than everyone else on the planet because he holds the "keys." It makes me think he's learned nothing about humility in his 90+ years of living. He's putting on an act and is absolutely immersed into a fantasy that really turns me off. I could not be in the same room with that man! No way!

Next, please...

I also don't care for the fact that it looks like the toy Jesus is standing on the lower half of a woman's ball gown.

Indeed it does! It wouldn't surprise me if it was a subconscious visual effect representing the lower half of the bride of Christ. We can be absolutely sure the whole setup was overseen and approved by the First Presidency. What a gaffe.

It reminds me of how they used to flash the word "popcorn" during a movie intermission.

Interesting pic given that you're gay. (Not that there's anything wrong with that.)
